There are actually two plots for this new edit I made!

⇢Scenario A: Hyukjae and Donghae met in a pub and have been together for several years now. Still, Hyukjae catches Donghae cheating on him. Obviously devastated by this betrayal, he wears the engagement ring he was planning to give to Donghae instead. Eventually, they meet to attempt to clarify, but Hyukjae is still very resentful and he couldn't stand the sight of Donghae's beaten-dog expression. However, for the sake of his feelings, he tries to fix things with his lover and buys flowers, but he can't get out of his head what the other man has done, so he decides to go to a doctor to have his memory erased and proposes the same thing to Donghae. The latter decides not to erase his memory and wants to stop Hyukjae. He desperately wants to make up for the damage he'd caused, but he arrives too late and when he sees the man he has loved for years, the look in those familiar eyes is completely indifferent towards him.

⇢Scenario B: Donghae belongs to a wealthy family. He's young and falls in love with this handsome man met in a pub. Their love grows deeper as years goes by, but suddenly Donghae's father finds out and demands to his son to cut any sort of relationship with this man called Hyukjae, clarifying that he's destined to marry a woman chosen by them. Unable to do anything, but comply with his family's request, Donghae begins dating this woman,distancing himself from Hyukjae in order to protect him. The latter, not understanding Donghae's anomalous and sudden behavior towards him, investigates and discovers that Donghae is dating another woman. Shocked by this fact, he finds himself admiring the ring that Donghae had given him with the promise of a future together. The two meet, try to talk about it, but without success. For Donghae's father, Hyukjae is a time bomb, a problem. So he summons him and proposes to erase his memory in exchange for a large sum. Hyukjae, who in the meantime couldn't find peace, agrees that perhaps it is not a bad idea to stop suffering and forget everything that has happened between him and Donghae. So he accepts. Donghae finds out and tries to stop him, but ends up being the only one with the memories of what they'd lived together and the guilt of the pain inflicted. His father had offered the same deal to him, erasing all the memories related to Hyukjae, but he had categorically refused.
