-3rd Person POV-

Taking a deep breath as she stretched out her body while laying on her bed, Yuna let out a groan before using her arms to prop herself up.

Though, she only held herself up for a few seconds before letting her arms cave and letting her body fall back into the bed, arguing that “a few more minutes couldn’t hurt.”

It was early in the morning, around six, and she wasn’t really a morning person, so the simple task of getting out of bed for the day was a battle for Yuna, fighting between falling back asleep and getting up to get ready.

Eventually, after hitting the snooze button a few times, the girl forced herself to sit up and stay up, standing up before she could even give her body a chance to fall back onto her soft bed.

Stretching her arms above her head the second she stood up, Yuna widened as she let out a sleepy yawn before beginning her journey to get ready for the morning.

Staring at herself in the mirror, she grimaced at her messy hair before grabbing the most important things, her phone off the bed and a towel that had been disregarded on the floor the day before.

Shuffling quietly to her bathroom in an attempt to not make any noise and possibly wake the other people in her house, she made it there shortly, immediately going to the shower.

Turning on the water, she twisted it far to the left, making the water as hot as she could get it. Only a boiling hot shower in the morning had the ability to wake Yuna up.

After a quick shower, the burning temperature of the water forced her to only make the necessary movements and waste no time, she left the bathroom, towel wrapped tightly around her.

She walked to her room, shivering as the cold air in the house contrasted the steamy air of the bathroom she had been in seconds before.

Grabbing her phone, Yuna opened the weather app, looking to see what type of clothing would be fitting to wear that day.

The temperature was supposed to be warm but not overwhelmingly warm. Seeing this, Yuna decided a pair of jeans and a simple t-shirt would be a sufficient outfit.

So, she pulled out what she wanted; a pair of plain black skinny jeans that hugged her legs almost perfectly and a graphic-t with a design from one of her favorite shows on it.

Once she was fully dressed, she left her room, going down the stairs and straight to the kitchen in search of food to feed her empty stomach.

And she found what she wanted, some eggs that had been scrambled by her dad who had to leave for his job early in the morning.

Grinning at the eggs, her favorite breakfast food, she quickly grabbed one of the plates from the cabinet, putting some in her plate and moving to the table to eat.

Yuna looked at the time, seeing that she had less than thirty minutes before she was to meet up with Yewon to walk to school.

Picking up her fork she grabbed along with her breakfast, she quickly scarfed down the food, still managing to enjoy every bite of the simple yet timeless food.

The second she was finished, she placed her plate and utensils in the sink, deciding that she could wash them later.

Twenty minutes.

Twenty minutes to fix her hair and makeup as well as get her school supplies and meet up with her friend two blocks down.

“Doable,” Yuna said with a shrug before bolting into her room.

She usually kept her makeup minimal everyday and today was no different. All she was going to was her school, so all she really did was add some lipstick, some concealer, and a small amount of eye makeup.

Once she was satisfied with her makeup, she grabbed her brush from one of the drawers of her vanity.

Her hair had completely dried with both her blow dryer and air drying it for the past twenty minutes, so she went to work.

Yuna just cleaned it up, straightening it up so there were no rough patches and fixing her bangs so they were less messy.

“Smile check…” Yuna mumbled to herself in the mirror before quickly smiling and giving a thumbs up at the satisfactory sight.

She got out of her chair and went to her closet, quickly grabbing a plain black hoodie just in case the morning air would make the temperature seem cooler than it already was.

Grabbing her books that were laid out on her desk from homework last night, she placed them in her bag before taking it downstairs with her.

“Are you leaving?” an older, more mature woman’s voice asked.

“Yeah,” Yuna called back, speeding to the door to slip on her shoes.

“Oh, well, did you eat?” Yuna’s mom asked, making sure her daughter was ready for the day.

“Yup!” Yuna said. “My favorite!”

“Are you meeting with Yewon today or do you need a ride?” her mother asked yet another question.

“Yeah, we’re meeting at Main Street, so only a few blocks,” Yuna explained, finishing tying her shoes. “I’m gonna go!”

“Okay! Be safe!” her mom called. “And have a good day!”

Yuna grinned at her caring mother as she opened the door and slipped out to the street, pulling out her keys from her backpack to lock it behind her.

Once she had placed the keys back into her bag, she took the time to take out her headphones which she had slipped in as well as her phone which was in her hoodie pocket.

As Yuna walked, she connected the headphones to her phone as she found her spotify playlist, putting it on shuffle.

Before she put her phone back in her pocket, she couldn’t help but press the skip button a few times to find the best song.

The walk was just about ten minutes and she promised she’d meet Yewon in fifteen, so she had time.

Though, just barely.

Although the walk was just two straight blocks, Yuna did mess around a little bit so the walk ended up taking just a few more minutes than the original ten.

“Just in time, unnie,” the small girl greeted as Yuna finally caught up to her.

“My bad, I meant to be here earlier,” Yuna apologized, grinning sheepishly.

“I mean, technically we were supposed to meet in three minutes and here we are so…” Yewon pointed out.

“You have a point,” Yuna said with a grin. “Now let’s go.”

The two girls walked next to each other, making small talk and jokes, still too early in the morning for either of them to form real important thoughts.

Well, except for Yewon, the more of a morning person than the taller girl.

“Did you get any news about the kitten we found?” the smaller asked.

“Not yet but it has been like, what, a week?” Yuna wondered out loud. “I’ll probably get a call soon.”

“Yeah, didn’t they say it would be a few days?” Yewon recalled.

“Yeah… it’s not that bad, though,” Yuna pointed out. “Only seven days so they had a point.”

“Did you, like, tell your parents about it?” Yewon asked.

Yuna paused, face paling as she realized the one thing she had been forgetting. “No…” Yuna answered, followed by a nervous laugh.

“Oh boy…” Yewon sighed, shaking her head at the forgetful girl. “What are they gonna say if you just bring home a whole cat?”

“Cursing? Would Sojung want you to say that?” Yuna asked, attempting to change the subject.

And failing.

“Don’t change the subject!” Yewon scolded. “What will you tell them?”

“I don’t know!” Yuna admitted, letting her head fall so she would be staring at the ground. “It’ll probably be fine, right?”

“Yeah… You have a point,” Yewon agreed, nodding slightly as she looked at the girl. “Your parents are cool so…”

“Yeah… Now what classes do we have this morning?” Yuna asked, finally managing to change the subject.

“All you’ve done today is stare at Yewon,” Yuna said to a girl who was currently… staring at Yewon.

“Not my fault! I mean, just look at her!” Yerin defended, gaze not moving off the smaller girl.

“You should confess to her,” Yuna advised. “She probably likes you too.”

“No, she doesn’t,” Yerin denied, shaking her head but still staring at Yewon.

“Okay but how do you know?” Yuna asked, raising her eyebrow. “Did you ask her?”

“No but…” Yerin trailed off, racking her brain to find an excuse.

“Exactly. You don’t know,” Yuna said, placing her hand on Yerin’s shoulder. “Just tell her, it’s so annoying to have to watch you pine after her.”

“M-Maybe, but I don’t know yet,” Yerin gave an acceptable answer to Yuna.

“Yes!” Yuna celebrated the not outright no. “I’m so willing to be a fifth wheel if you two finally get together!”

“But I’d feel bad if you were the fifth wheel,” Yerin said, her voice a bit whiny.

“Don’t worry, I’ll get a girlfriend- or boyfriend- or partner,” Yuna corrected herself. “We’ll go with partner.”

“What if I set you up with someone?” Yerin offered, realizing that she did have a lot of single friends.

“With who though?” Yuna asked, not immediately turning down the offer, though she thought she probably would.

“I don’t know, maybe Dokyeom?” Yerin suggested, knowing the guy, who was also somewhere in the middle uality wise, would be pretty happy.

And Yuna’s premonition came true.

“Um… I don’t know,” Yuna confessed, turning Yerin’s offer down. “I mean I used to like him, but I really see him as a friend now.”

“Fair,” Yerin said, shrugging her shoulders. “To be honest, I don’t even know if he has any actual feelings for you, just going on a limb.”

“He’s like my brother now, I can’t really see him like that anymore,” Yuna explained.

“Hm… What other friends…” Yerin thought for a moment, placing her head on the table to think.

“You know what, I’ll find someone myself,” Yuna said, interrupting her friends thoughts. “I’m not interested in anyone right now, so I don’t think I’d agree to anyone you said.”

“Oh… If you say so!” Yerin said, shooting her head back up to smile at Yuna.

As much as she wanted to get with Yewon, she didn’t want to betray her best friend. Though she knew Yuna wouldn’t mind, she couldn’t help but feel bad.

But, she couldn’t dwell on that for long.

“Sorry I took so long,” a high pitched voice apologized as the sound a chair being pulled out rang out around the table.

“Yewon!” Yerin said, her smiling getting even brighter as she latched onto her arm.

“Wow… Right in front of my poor, poor, sandwich,” Yuna acted fake annoyed, rolling her eyes at the two girls as she gestured to her food in front of her.

“Sorry unnie, but Yerin started it!” Yewon said, pointing her finger at the girl who was still clinging to her arm.

“She’s right,” Yerin said, tightening her grip around the girl as she admitted her guilt.

“Who’s right about what?” the voice of a tall girl came in as two more chairs were pulled out and two more people sat down.

“Yerin being clingy with Yewon again,” Yuna said, gesturing to the obvious skinship between the two girls.

“And I thought we were bad,” the voice of a small girl, even smalle
