One Summer Night
Description
Olivia finally made it to Seoul after scrimping and saving every penny and doing her own hair, nails, and feet for the last year.
She never imagined that on her second day there she would meet an idol and that he would want to be her tour guide!
Foreword
"Are you lost?" I hear a deep voice in cutely accented English ask.
I look up from my phone in confusion and lay eyes on the most gorgeous man I have ever seen in my entire life.
I audibly gasp and cringe at my outburst.
He smiles and I swoon like I am in a romance novel swoon!
"Get a grip girl you're acting like you have never seen a fine man before!" I think to myself.
I my lips and smile what I hope is a breath-taking smile but knowing me I probably look like the joker!
"Umm how did you know?" I ask my voice managing to sound normal.
He smiles again and this time my mouth goes dry.
"Dang he fine!"
I feel sweat break out on my back and I inwardly groan.
"Well I have to be honest, I noticed you as soon as you walked in and I eavesdropped on your conversation."
He grins and my heart threatens to skip out of my chest!
I know I should be alarmed because what he admitted sounds Hella creepy, but I am not in the least bit alarmed and that is alarming.
I would normally be looking side eyed all upside his head at what he just said but man he is so dang pretty, and I am not myself at the moment.
"You know that sounds kind a creepy right?" I say anyway I mean I am in a foreigner in a foreign country after all.
He roars with laughter his eyes twinkling with mirth.
"I like you, you're adorable and I can tell just by that response that you'd be really fun to hang out with." He replies.
"Oh? You can tell all that about me from a five-minute conversation?"
"Yep."
"Mm mm and what else can you tell about me?" I ask suddenly very curious as to what will come out of his mouth.
"That you need to see the real Seoul and not the fake tourist traps lined along this street."
"But you are here eating in one of those very fake tourist traps." I sass and he smiles hugely.
"Well what can I say I love American food." He shrugs.
"So, are you game?"
"You know what I'll bite, game for what?" I reply.
"For me taking you on a tour of Seoul that is not on the hotel tourist's list or itinerary." He smiles and I see the challenge in his eyes.
I look around at the nearly empty cafe and out on the street
It is still light out and early.
When will I ever get to Seoul, South Korea again and even more when will I have a stupid y man offer to show me around the city?
Never is when.
He looks at me patiently but also with a knowing smirk and I think to myself he is cocky eh?
I pick up my phone and snap a few pictures of him then rapidly text them and an explanation to my best friend at the hotel.
"What was that?" He asks grinning.
"That was insurance in case you are a deranged molester or killer."
"I sent it to my best friend with instructions that if I do not make it back to the hotel by ten pm that she should call the police and the American embassy with a quickness!"
He laughs loudly and ily his eyes full of mischief.
"I knew I liked you." He says standing reaching for my hand.
"Shall we?"
I look at him and for a split second and I am having second thoughts.
I know nothing about this man, and I am the first to yell at my friends when they want to hit it with someone we do not know.
So, what is my problem?
He raises his eyebrows in question and even that is makes him look good.
My hormones win over logic and common sense and I slip mine in his.
As he pulls me toward the exit, I look at his profile again.
I get the nagging feeling I have seen him somewhere and that he is awfully familiar to me.
"You know what? You look awfully familiar; I would almost ask have we met before, but this is my first time in Seoul, so I know that's not possible."
"Mm mm" He says cryptically.
"I get that a lot believe it or not, do you know anything about K-pop music?"
"I haven't a clue what that even is." I say and he laughs again.
"Good!" He says tucking my hand in his elbow further and guiding me down the busy sidewalk.
I say a quick prayer to Jesus and plead the blood over my life you know just in case...
