Awake at Night, I'll Be Singing to the Birds
Description
Seulrene Vampire au.
She's the sun. She's never seen the night, but she hears its song from the morning birds.
Irene's not the moon. She's not even a star. But awake at night, she'll be singing to the birds.
Foreword
She’s warm.
Unusual for someone like her.
She is a pale pink.
Unlike the red she depends on; she’s muted and yielding.
Permanence is misery. As much as we cling to perpetuation, change is inevitable. A lot has changed since dreary old vampiric ages but Irene is a woman cursed by permanence.
Memories of her cling to Irene like the smell of iron on her clothes, on her red lips. Her love, Kang Seulgi. Irene knows she would never love another like her. How could she? Her thoughts are crowded with memories of twinkling laughter and streaks of morning sun filtering through the blinds; of melting into the bed when the rays of sunlight finally reach them. The sun makes her weak and vulnerable, but she would stay eternally drained if she could savor the image of her lover, peaceful under the duvet, for a few minutes longer.
My first seulrene story :D hehehe thank you for reading!
The description is from Mitski's song Your Best American Girl
