Infinity Blood - Vampire AU - One Shot

Description

Irene was a countess with thousands of years of life who looked optimistically at the changes in the world as the years went by. Wendy was a young vampire consumed in depression for not understanding what was happening around her and in search of a reunion with the one who was her reason for living. Note: English is not my first language but I tried to make this story as clear and poetic as possible. I hope you enjoy it and let me know what you think in the comments.

Foreword

They say that life expectancy in humans is 70 years for men and 75 years for women. A long life for many and a short life for others.  On that road to live fully. Fulfilling the "be born, grow, reproduce and die" inexplicable things can happen. Events that mark you and hinder the goal of fulfilling the normal cycle of living. Death is inevitable. Well, that's what I thought before witnessing a love without limit.

It was a lonely night in enigmatic Prague. At the top of St. Vitus Cathedral stood a woman with a pale complexion, abundant violet hair and a serious face. With her arms open and her long-sleeved blue shirt ajar, she welcomed the cold wind with her whole body, giving her that feeling of being alive that 800 years ago she had lost at the hands of that countess. That countess who made her her own. Watching the whole city from the height and feeling that she could fall, that she could be vulnerable and die was her guilty pleasure.

While in the quiet and somewhat smelly Venice, a small dark-haired woman looked at the moon feeling the vulnerability and the almost forbidden desire that manifested in the mind of her eternal companion. She appreciated the pleasures of immortality, while her young beloved still failed to adjust.

Novak, you know me best and have the most years of experience in our coven. Tell me, when will humans learn to love the only paradise they have? It is true that the world continues without them, but it is so sad to see them destroy it. This too is our world and we will live as long as it.

My lady, it is in human nature to destroy. We, we are not human and we learned to value what surrounds us. We destroy out of necessity, they destroy out of pleasure. That is why, out of greatness.

I was born immortal, maybe that makes me a little more optimistic.

I know something is bothering you, I can feel it. She'll be fine, it's not the first time she's gone through a crisis. She is still very young my lady, one day she will understand that life is more than being locked up.

She is dependent, it is her nature.

So, what are you waiting for to go with her? So far this century they have not been together. It's been 21 years my lady.

You're always solving my problems Novak, what would I be without you?

I'm just an old soul. We were born from the same immortal seed and are of similar lineages. But you, you are much more knowledgeable. You just needed to hear what you already knew, let's say I'm the voice of reason.

You are my friend. Said the small but imposing woman kissing the forehead of that big man, similar to a big bear with his abundant beard, his hairy arms and his long brown hair...I hope you have a good night of hunting Novak, said the countess as she walked away from her friend who with bright eyes watched his prey from a distance. He was a great predator.

Are you coming? I need to prepare for your arrival, you don't deserve my current filth. Said the woman with expressive eyes to her beloved who gave her excellent news through a phone call. Goodbye to her loneliness.

You know I love your bohemian style, besides we are not in the 1800's my good. These days no one is interested in how you live, least of all me. I know you.

You know me very well. I don't know what I was thinking when I wanted to travel alone during this century. This new millennium is so technological that nothing feels real.

I understand your feeling my love, that is why it is important that you have your sanctuary that I will be happy to meet in a few hours. Please have a little life for my arrival. We will take it together my love. Said the pale woman at the end of the call with her wife. The one who had been with her forever, or so she felt. Who gave her love in that death that allowed her to lead a life without end, and that became boring without its reason for being and that at the same time was a beautiful curse. Her beloved would never fail her, immortality was a gift.

The hours passed, and the moment was approaching. She could feel it. She never believed in gods, but she always prayed for her beloved, for her well being, although it was impossible to end her life she could not conceive of anything harming her. Her body reacted to the electrifying feeling. She walked by inertia to the door that let her beloved standing illuminated by the bright moon and the starry sky. She had not changed a bit. Her sweet and imposing countenance was the same but her dangerous beauty was much more attractive than 21 years ago on that pier where they said goodbye with that "see you soon".

Irene... she said taking her hands to recognize her and finish convincing herself that she was really there by her side.

Wendy my love, I am here with you. It's not your mind playing with your common sense and reality. I know what you think, I can feel it in my chest, touch me....

Irene, you are without equal, but at the same time you are always equal in essence. She said holding her beloved's face between her delicate, pale palms and bringing her lips close to those of the stunning woman. Surrendering herself in a frenzy of sensations that her body missed.  I want you to taste somebodys life with me in the beautiful streets of Prague. The city where I was born twice, our city. Wendy said before carrying her beloved's suitcases into the living room of her huge house and taking her by the hand. They would enjoy a great dinner.

Why do I feel depressed? asked the countess as she walked hand in hand with her lover along the ancient cobblestones of Charles Bridge. A strange sensation for her, since she remembered the times in which she rode in carriages surrounded by a whole court and servants.

Your are feeling sad because that's how I feel. I belong to you and you more than anyone else know everything about me, I can't hide anything from you. I cannot lie to you.

I am not your mistress, you are not an object my love. You are free to live unattached if you want. I love you too much to treat you like a slave or a simple acquisition. Now tell me, what is it?

Irene... I am yours in many ways, but the most accurate is that I belong to you because I want to belong to you, I feel yours and I feel you mine. That is not going to change. Regarding my depression, this new world is so strange. I find no way to go unnoticed. The predator countenance is attractive to them and it seems that humans love destruction, which hurts them. What kind of syndrome is this? I don't understand them. They destroy themselves and love the harmful.

Stockholm syndrome it may be. My love, what makes you uncomfortable is the attention you receive. I had the strange idea that you felt some kind of remorse for our way of surviving, ending a life is not easy or simple. You are still very young.

Wendy took her beloved's hands and said looking straight into her eyes... I feel so stupid. My problems are as meaningless as the worries of this new world. How I wish I possessed the wisdom of my countess. She said kissing her hands. You, you are what I needed. When I had you I did not do it with the intention of ending your life but to give you the opportunity to learn without limits.

I love your mind, your ability to learn. I love that you are the architect of many theories and solutions that through time have been given false names because you are not interested in fame or being noticed. I love your insecurities and I love your vitality, that youthfulness full of ideas that infects me and makes me happy. Just please don't continue to call danger by climbing to the top of cathedrals, I couldn't live if you hurt yourself. Said Irene with her face full of concern.

You know everything, my countess, and this simple librarian in your palace will always love you and honor the gifts you give her. The most important, your love. Now look, all this feast that awaits us. Watch them walk like a flock of sheep, watching us deceived.

They think they're predators, and that's the fun part of our survival. Wendy, I crave some young blood tonight. There is no drug more effective than tasting of the life their god has given them. It is so impressive how delicate the flock can be to that god who never watches them closely, but you and I have no such rules. There is a pact in the twisted game that the powerful created.

The herd belongs to the one who hunts it....

Exactly my love. If humans knew they were made more as an experiment than out of love, they would go mad. There are two types of supernatural beings. Those who follow the light and live without free will as they choose to be good in the name of love, and those of us born of water and darkness. The god of this world has always made himself known through parables about battles against the mysterious ocean and in which, according to his stories, he has come out victorious, but he has never bothered to explain why the waters are his great nemesis.

It's true, Irene, and I thought I was an intellectual.

You are my love, now look. Pick something good for our dinner, please. Wendy sensed the interest in her and her beloved from the pair of boys who with lustful eyes watched them at the end of that long-lived bridge. Both women walked so gracefully that they seemed to float. The older of the two, Irene. The countess who today lived in a more demure manner brought her gaze to the statue of St. John of Nepomuk who, as if by a powerful spell, bowed to the ancient monarch. Yes, those statues had life. They were guardians that humans ignored like all that is real.  Together they led their enchanted prey with their gazes and their indescribable beauty to the streets of Mala Strana. A place that even though it was so colorful felt as gothic as the old town or any neighborhood in Pilsen.

Did you beauties miss something? expressed one of the blondes in front of them.

Unbelievable, even when in danger these humans feel superior just because they have a phallus between their legs. Pathetic... thought Wendy.

I know you think they are pathetic love, said Irene bringing her small hands up to the face of one of her victims who gladly received the cold touch convinced that he would get a good ing that night. Look at them, my love, they are so cute. Convinced that they are going to possess us, aren't you, stranger? Irene asked the young man looking him straight in the eyes.

My name is Villie and this is Lauri...

We are not interested in your names, said Wendy reluctantly and somewhat uncomfortable with the human's unnecessary comment. Borrego.

You are so young and fast-paced my love, we can have fun with them too. Tell me, do you believe in hell? Said Irene now with her body almost glued to the torso of that blond who now did not understand why her heart was beating as if she was running a marathon and her skin was bristling.

What... What's wrong with us? asked the other blond with the thick beard in front of Wendy.

We are still waiting for your friend's answer said Wendy now placing her hands on the young man's chest immobilizing his body with a force that the human could not understand. He wanted to run. Don't try him, said the pale skinned woman in the ear of her prey who did not want to accept reality. He would die.

Villie, do you believe in hell? Irene asked again, now in his ear.

We can take you to heaven if you like. We can do it in this very alley if you open your legs beautifully, we know you want it.

Wow Wendy, even in his last moments this human has the guts to dare to offer . Too bad, my succubi would be happy with you, but since the happiness of the demons in my court is of no concern to me, I'll take you all the way to hell myself. Said Irene now with silver eyes revealing her fangs, a sign that led Wendy to do the same. Her prey fell fainting while Irene's prey, to the countess's own delight, lay on the floor, frightened and crying. It was an exquisite night.

Now walking hand in hand again with their faces stained with blood, a trait that the humans who observed them attributed to eccentricism because of the street art in the streets of the ancient and enigmatic city. The pair of vampires were on their way to Prague's astronomical clock. When they arrived they wiped their faces in the public fountain and in a movement unnoticed by humans they materialized at the top of that monument feeling every tick of the clock rumble in the stone that supported them.

Time is always one step ahead of us Wendy, but how we use it is relative. You can just let yourself die as the seconds tick by or you can choose to live a full life using a clock that never ticks.

Wendy lost in the ecstasy of her love, looking into the eyes of her beloved expressed what her already inert heart was crying out desperate to be heard.  I want you to give me a taste of your essence to keep in mind that I exist for more than just breathing and being the wife of the morcara of humans and vampires that everyone respects. I want you to taste me again to remember who I belong to, I want to forget all this herd of sheep that walk with numbers in their heads in a countdown that will take them to their end.

I want an infinity life of blood by your side. Said the countess now hugging the back and kissing the line of the spine of her beloved who with open arms again felt how the cold wind hit her pale and fine skin.

My countess always so humble....

My beloved always wanting a little more.
