Characters:

Jang Woo-jae (JB): Leader and one half of the popular boy band Eden, he is a famous idol with more than his fair share of fangirls. His reputation, unlike Siwoo's, is squeaky clean, and he is known to be a stickler for the rules. However, despite his apparent charisma on stage, he can be extremely arrogant and condescending, especially to those below him. He is also capable of showing pity and kindness to those less fortunate, and can be very protective of the people or things he consider important to him. He is at odds with Jin Yoo Jin, who disdains JB for being an idol, and often fights with him. 

Park Jiyeon (Rian): Maknae, main dancer and rapper of the girl group HershE, she is described as being less talented than her bandmates, both of who have stronger vocals than she does, and is said to be just a 'visual' for the group. She yearns to be a famous actress, despite her supposedly horrible acting, and is quite a rebellious person, often doing whatever she feels like doing. She appears rude, arrogant and condescending, but can also be quite nice when she wants to. She is at loggerheads with Shin Haesung, and often tries to put her down or bully her into doing what Rian wants. 

Jin Yoo Jin: A rockstar wannabe, he is quite talented, able to write his own songs despite his relative youth. He disdains idols and wants to do his own music, hence his desire to be a rockstar. He is rude and impulsive, often acting rashly and not considering the feelings of others. Although he fights a lot with Haesung at first, he eventually begins to fall for her 'never-say-die' personality, and often tries to do what he thinks is best for her. He also has a rivalry with JB, who often taunts him about being unable to make it big.

Shin Haesung: A third year student of Kirin Art School, she is a hardcore fan of JB, and has a strong desire to be an idol just like him. Despite her considerable dreams, however, she is completely without talent - unable to dance, sing, rap or compose any music. She is kind, with a 'never-say-die' personality that draws Yoo Jin and JB to her. She is rivals with Rian, often tryng to prove that she is better than Rian, who is considered the least talented member of HershE.

Siwoo: The other half of boy band Eden, he is constantly embroiled in scandals and trouble. He is rebellious and cannot be controlled by the company at all. His irresponsibility irks JB to no end, which leads to JB wanting to debut as a solo singer instead of working with him. Siwoo is friendly and easy-going, almost like the complete opposite of JB, and is willing to do anything for those he considers his friends. He also has a lot of pride, and will not do anything that will hurt his pride, no matter what. 

Hyorin (Nana): The leader and main vocalist of HershE, she, like Siwoo, is a lot friendlier and more easy-going. She cares a lot for her teammates, not minding whether or not they feel gratitude to her, and will do as much as she can for her friends. She is the love interest of Hong-Joo, and she also appears to be unable to decide between Hong-Joo and Siwoo. 

Ui-bong: The only talented dancer in the entire population of Kirin Art School, he is the best friend of Jin Yoo Jin. Like Yoo Jin, he dislikes idols, but mainly because he thinks they only care about themselves. As he interacts more with the idols though, his perceptions begin to change, and he starts to accept idols. He has a lot of pride, and will immediately retaliate if he thinks that someone has gone too far in something.

Ailee: The last member of HershE, she is also the lead vocalist. She and Rian do not get along well with each other because of something that happened between them in the past, although almost no one knows about the incident.
