CHAPTER 13

Soon after the planning ended the engagement party came, the party was held at Shangri La the same hotel they booked during the fitting session. Bambam choose Shangri La because the event hall could accommodate the amount of guest Sora invited.

Jinyoung only invited the people close to him so the guestlist was mostly composed of Sora’s Guest.

The sole purpose of the engagement party was to introduce Jinyoung to Sora’s world. Sora had to admit that she was worried about introducing him to the people in their circle. She wasn’t so fond of most of the people affiliated with the world she belongs to.

Let’s just say they’re not a welcoming crowd, although she doesn’t care about their opinion but she was worried that their words may hurt Jinyoung. She didn’t want them to undermine him just because he wasn’t some hot shot CEO they all thought she’d marry.

On the day of the engagement party before they entered the battle field she stopped on her tracks and looked at Jinyoung one last time, fixed his crooked tie and said “Listen Jinyoung, the world I belong to and the kind of people in this circle isn’t always the nicest, they will judge you, they will look at your every move and pick at every mistake you make” her eyes locked on his and in all seriousness she continued her words “ but you don’t need to worry because you have me. I will protect you, all you need to do is to stay by my side and I’ll do the rest.” She flashed him a smile as she took his hand on hers. “ you don’t need to pretend to be someone you’re not, so just be yourself.”

When she said those last words Jinyoung couldn’t help but admire her, Sora lightly squeezed his hand “are you ready to face the wolves?”

The moment the couple entered the event hall all eyes was on Jinyoung, only then did he realized what Sora meant. He could feel all the watchful eyes observing his every move.

He could feel the intensity of his status as THE Nakahara Sora’s fiancé.

For some reason he felt conscious of his movements, he couldn’t freely move because he could feel hundred pair of eyes staring at him. He could hear people whispering while looking at him and somehow it made him feel small. Sora noticed how uncomfortable Jinyoung seemed.

Sora moved closer to him, slowly wrapping her free hand on his as if showing her support and encouraging him. Reminding him that he wasn’t alone and that he had her by his side, she had his back.

When the guest she was talking to left to go socialize with the other guest she stood in front of Jinyoung gathering both his hands on hers as she made him look at her,

“hey, remember just be yourself, you have me.” Her words of encouragement eased up Jinyoung’s worries.

Jinyoung smiled at Sora signaling that he was fine now,

And just like that Jinyoung being the gentle, handsome man he is loosened up and acted like himself, it didn’t come as a surprise to Sora that he managed to charm the people he talked to once the tension he felt was gone.

Everyone in the room could see why Sora had chosen him.

The party ended with everyone being amazed and captivated by the young surgeon Nakahara Sora decided to marry.

A month has already passed after the engagement party ended Sora and Jinyoung was back to being busy bodies again.

Sora with the preparations for the Legacy Project and Jinyoung with his Surgeries. The two of them had been working non-stop for the past month that they seem to have forgotten that the wedding date was moving closer and closer.

If it wasn’t for Bambam constantly sending them emails about the wedding they might have completely forgotten about it.

The two of them had been so busy that they didn’t notice the passing of time and before they knew it, D-Day has finally arrived.

Unlike the Engagement party Jinyoung and Sora had separate waiting rooms, the days flew by so fast he couldn’t believe he was getting ready for his own wedding. After spending the whole month Juggling work as well as participating in the wedding preparation Jinyoung found himself standing in front of the Mirror looking at his reflection.

A couple of Bambam’s team was in the room with him assisting him, He looked at himself closely and couldn’t help but be amazed of Bambam’s team. They did a really good Job styling his hair today, even he couldn’t recognize himself.

He and Sora hasn’t seen each other after they separated earlier, today is the most anticipated event of the year. Their wedding day. A lot of people had been waiting for this day ever since the engagement party.

Media outlets has been pestering KS Group just to get an exclusive inside scope of the wedding day. Sora wanted to keep Media exposure minimum so she decided to only invite 1 Journalist on the day of the wedding.

She wanted it to be that way in order to protect Jinyoung’s privacy, she knew that if she invites all the paparazzi on the wedding day Jinyoung’s privacy would be compromised and she didn’t want that to happen, she didn’t want any unnecessary attention to be pointed at her husband and she didn’t want people to bother him if they know he’s her husband. So in order to do that she told Liah to choose only 1 Journalist just enough to cover the whole event. Of course what that journalist writes will be reviewed by Liah before publishing.

When he was finished getting ready he heard a knock on the door as Youngjae, Mark and Jae entered the room “hey! How’s our Groom holding up? Nervous?” Mark asked teasingly.

Just like the engagement party Jinyoung only invited the people who were close to him.

“Hyung! Guess what? I was Bae Suzy at the Lobby!” Youngjae said excitedly, he is a big fan of Suzy after all. “I can’t believe I get to be in the same room as Suzy Bae!” he added as if the other person he came with wasn’t a celebrity.

The boys stayed and kept him company for awhile before they decided to leave, after the boys left his mom came too. Mrs. Park shed happy tears as she looked at her son, she gave him a hug before bidding Jinyoung goodbye to go to Sora’s waiting room.

Just when he thought he was finally alone he heard another knock on the door this time by someone he did not expect to come visit him.

It was his father-in-law, Kim Sowoon.
