Ha Na climbed out of her window on to the fire escape. The night was young and it was a clear sky the way Ha Na liked it. She continued to climb up all the way to the top of the building where there were old couches under a little housing deck someone built at some point on the roof top. It was the best weather for song writing. She sat down on her favorite light blue couch with her old worn out journal and chewed up pen ready to write

"When were we ever friends. When did we reach the end..." she tried harmonizing but something wasn't fitting in. "when did we let it die, how could we let it die" she continued

"My god" Eun Woo leaned on the side stack next to the couches "you're everywhere"

Ha Na sighed "what are you doing up here?" she tilted her head to look at him

"I live here. Remember?"

"I mean here." Ha Na stomped on the ground

"Well" Eun Woo reached for his guitar behind the red couch "I like to come up here and-"

"you play?" Ha Na didn't know why she found that hard to believe

Eun woo nodded and sat down on the other couch "you write?"

she scrunched up her nose "I compose" she said in air quotes

"are you not good?" He suppressed his laugh

Ha Na stared at her notebook then closed it "I've been a bit blocked lately, I guess"

Eun Woo played a few strings "maybe you just need a new scenery?"

"Is this your way of telling me to leave?"

Eun Woo grinned but just as quickly as it came it was gone "Anio, its advice" he grabbed his guitar and placed it behind the couch again 

"you're leaving?"

Eun Woo shrugged "it's too crowded"

Ha Na rolled her eyes "Wait" Ha Na called out

Eun Woo turned back around and raised an eyebrow prompting her to go on

"About what you saw-"

"Don't worry" he smiled "Your secret is safe with me" it looked like he was making fun of her. As if he thought she was so pathetic in trying to hide her boyfriend from her friends but that wasn't it. She was hiding her brother. It didn't make it any better and she didn't like it any better either.

Her phone lit up on the table and she smiled.

"I'd just be careful" Eun Woo called out "not everyone is going to understand"

Ha Na glanced up at him but he hadn't bothered to look back. Ha Na held her fist out threatening the air in vain. "Not everyone is understanding?" she scoffed "not everyone needs to know" she talked to herself "I thought no one knew about this place..." she grabbed her phone and texted the person who misinformed her

-Yah, you said no one came to the roof top-

-who is there? Usually no one goes- Chanyeol

-never mind, its fine-

-hey, come to the practice room. I have a surprise- Chanyeol

Ha Na smiled to herself and picked her things back up. A surprise from Chanyeol was just what she needed. Chanyeol had taken her under his wing after he found her panicking in the boy's bathroom stall once. It wasn't a pretty sight but Chanyeol stuck around and Ha Na appreciated it. Ha Na hurried down the fire escape and jumped back in through her window

"What the heck!" Cheonsa, who was her roommate threw herself back on her bed "When did you get out there?" She held up her pillow instinctively

"Cover for me? I'm going to the practice rooms"

"Meeting Chanyeol again?"

Ha Na nodded and tried to hide a smile

"If Hae Ra finds out..."

"Ugh, don't even get me started on Hae Ra. Just cover for me okay. I won't be long" Ha Na peeked outside her door and waited for it to be clear before hurrying out the dorm room. She hadn't seen Chanyeol for a few weeks now. The last time they talked he was busy with promotions and couldn't really hang out. She could feel herself grinning the whole walk to the practice rooms.

All the practice rooms had the lights turned off but one. As Ha Na neared the only one with a light on she could hear voices. She glanced around but didn't see anyone else. She turned into the room and stopped.

No one was there.

"Hello?" She called out cautiously

Suddenly EXO jumped out with a small cake and shouted "congratulations!" Ha Na grinned

"Thought you might like a cake" Chanyeol walked up to her holding a small cake with a candle on it "You have to make a wish"

"A wish?" Ha Na looked confused "Isn't that just for birthdays?"

Chanyeol shrugged "Who knows. But today, you get a wish" he grinned

Ha Na thought about what she wanted. She had already debuted, her brother debuted, she had amazing friends and her songs were picked for the album. What more could she ask for without being selfish? She met Chanyeol's eyes and her wish became clear. She closed her eyes made her wish and blew out the candle.

Exo cheered

"Hey, you guys were great" Kai walked up to them "how is your friend doing?"

"Sarang?"

"Ani, the other one. Cheonsa?"

"Oh, um she's okay. Why do you ask?" Ha Na was taken back

"I was just wondering" he shook his head "congratulate her on my behalf as well"

Ha Na nodded "Thank you guys. For doing this" she smiled at the rest of Exo

"They all wanted to take you out to eat but with promotions going on we don't have the time. I hope that's okay" Kai had his hands in his pockets

"Are you kidding? This is more than enough" Ha Na stole some frosting from the cake "its really good by the way" she grabbed some more

"Is it?" Chanyeol reached in

"Try it?" Ha Na wiped frosting on his face

Chanyeol stared at her with wide eyes and his jaw dropped "Did you- really?"

Ha Na laughed

"I think it looks nice" Baekhyun grinned his box smile "it matches your complexion"

"It does not" Sehun scrutinized his face then grabbed some pink frosting and wiped it on the other side "this one does"

Ha Na gasped

"You started this" Chanyeol Shouted before trying to get her back

Ha Na hastily walked back

"Careful" Chanyeol grabbed Ha Na's wrist and pulled her back before she hit the radiator against the wall. After being pulled back in with so much force Ha Na wasn't able to hang on to the cake and her eyes followed its trajectory. Everyone in that room knew where it was going. Baekhyun didn't have enough time to move. He closed his eyes and braced himself for impact.

The cake hit his face and slowly slid down leaving a frosting trail down his face.

"Oh...My...God... Baekhyun I'm so sorry" Ha Na hurried over to him

"This happens every time your around" he hissed as he wiped the frosting off his face meanwhile Sehun was dying of laughter while trying to grab some off his cheek

"Are you guys practicing?" Ha Na turned back to Chanyeol and the guys trying to move on from the fiasco

"Nae" Su Ho and D.O nodded "we just wanted to congratulate you before it got too late"

"Oh, you didn't have to" Ha Na grinned "But thank you" she bowed

"We'll see you at Music Bank!" Kai shouted over the crowd

"NAE!" Ha Na shouted back

"I'll walk you out" Chanyeol placed his hand on the small of her back and led her out of the room "don't forget to eat you're vitamins. And don't slack on you're sleep. Its really important."

"Nae" Ha Na nodded

"And I gave Kai some healthy packets...did he give them to you yet?" Ha Na forgot Chanyeol knew their secret. He was one of the only ones that knew and that she trusted to actually keep it a secret.

"Not yet, but don't worry. Go back in." Ha Na could see the rest of Exo getting impatient "we'll talk later" she waved goodbye as he headed back.

Ha Na made eye contact with Kai. He had warner her about getting to close to Chanyeol, he was very protective of her and since day one he said he didn't want her dating anyone. Not that he could keep her from it if he wanted to. And not that Chanyeol was even interested in her in that way. It all seemed like brotherly love.

Ha Na wondered why Kai had asked about Cheonsa. She didn't know they were close enough for him to ask how she was. She wondered if Sarang knew they were close? Ha Na shook her head, she didn't want to involve herself in that. Sarang, Cheonsa and Kai. What a love triangle, she laughed at how ridiculous it sounded in her head.

Love triangles were always complicated.
