“You should behave like a princess okay Alexis?”

She hate it so much. Whenever her mother cares her hair so gently like it’s a precious gem, when she needs to be beautiful on what ever she does.

Everyone thinks she wants to be a princess, but she only wants to be an independent woman without wearing a gown and hair always getting comb.

“Ang dungis mo Alexis! Oh My Gosh! What happened to you?” Her mother exclaimed.

Little Alexis was covered with dirt and her hair was disheveled.

She only smile at her mother’s reaction, and Alexis said. “It’s alright Mom, i didn’t got hurt. I just got dirty and i can wash myself.”

After she washed, she spot her older brother, Calusis, sitting on her bed.

“Where did you go Ally?” Her brother asked, far from worried. Her brother calls her ‘Ally’ because Alexis was too long.

“Kuya Calu, i met someone sa labas. Friends na kami, she’s nice and beautiful.” Alexis skipped happily to her brother.

Calusis watched her younger sister with a brotherly smile on his face, he’s happy to see her Ally this happy.

“Kuya, nung nadungisan ako i suddenly felt happy. Kasi lagi nalang akong malinis, laging nasa loob ng bahay.” Sabi ni Alexis habang sinusuklay niya ang buhok niya sa harap ng maliit na vanity niya.

“Ally, happy kaba dahil nakalabas ka na or...you’re happy because you met someone outside?”

Lumingon si Alexis sa Kuya niya na nakatingin sa kanya.

“Uhmm...both Kuya. Kasi i didn’t expect na may magiging kaibigan ako sa labas kasi walang tao.” Lumapit si Calusis sa kapatid niya at tinignan ito sa salamin.

“I’m happy to hear that Ally.” Malapad ang ngiti ni Calusis habang nakatingin sa kapatid niya.

They bicker a lot at laging nag-aaway, Calusis ay isang patola kaya’t laging may away sa household ng mga Samaños.

“Alexis Ko!”

Napabuntong hininga si Wendy ng marinig niya ang boses na nanggaling sa likuran niya.

Nakaupo sa may bench ng playground hinihintay na sunduin siya ng kuya niya dahil napagod na siya kakalaro.

Nang makalapit na sa kanya si Rosé agad itong umupo sa tabi niya at inabot ang lagi niyang dalang cookies para kay Alexis.

“Love mo ba ako Alexis?”

“Oo love kita kasi friend kita tapos binibigyan mo lagi ako ng cookies.”

Little Rosé giggled at Wendy who is busy munching cookies. They both know each other because of their parents.

Napatigil sa pagnguya si Wendy ng makita niya si Bianca malapit sa duyan may kasamang bata. Pupunta na sana si Wendy kay Irene ngunit pinigilan siya ni Rosé.

“Saan ka pupunta?”

“Kay Bianca, she’s my new friend.”

“But she looks busy with her new friend. Akala ko ba friends kayo?”

Biglang nalungkot si Wendy, napaisip tuloy siya sa sinabi ni Rosé. Makikita siya agad ni Irene dahil hindi naman malayo ang duyan sa bench pero hindi siya pinansin dahil busy siya sa bago niyang kaibigan.
