Author's Note

This is my first story where I write a realistic genre which I never did before. There are two realistic topics I included in the story and that is parental favoritism and how infidelity can affect children. I did some research on both topics and tried my best to include both in the story. 

I originally planned for my OC, Jangmi, to be evil. Like think of her as someone who goes, "I want you to feel the same pain as me so I hurt you". One of my earlier ideas is that Jangmi died and the Jangmi who Minseok meets is her daughter disguising as her to seek revenge. I end up scrapping that idea because, to me, that didn't seem realistic enough.

I happen to be listening to Lee Hi's Rose when I'm writing this. So the song is a huge inspiration to this story such as the title and Jangmi's name.
