Chapter Six: The Peace Treaty of Kwon Ji Yong and Im Yoon Ah (because finally, the angst is killing me)

Yoon Jaehyuk is a sweet, sweet boy. He clinged on to Yoona when they were kids and continued doing so up to this day. He loves his noona so much that he begged for her to be adopted along with him. Despite their age difference, they are the kind of siblings who tell each other everything.

He admires his Yoona noona because she had always persevered to give them the best life she can and she never needed anything in return. She sent him to a good school and continues to support him in his university studies as a dance major student in a private university. In his eyes, she is the best person in the world and no one can change his mind. 

However, his Yoona noona isn't perfect. She struggles deeply with the knowledge that her birth parents left her in an orphanage and that.. technically she wasn't chosen to be adopted. It had caused her a great deal of anxiety. Something she has been dealing with and had a hard time sharing with anyone. 

Jaehyuk was aware of this but is very careful in broaching said topic. It might be the only thing they cannot talk about openly. 

"Jinjja? He said that to you?" Jaehyuk reacted greatly as she told him the story of the shouting match. It took awhile for Yoona to recover from her anxiety attack but when she finally did, the two of them sat at their dining room, hot chocolate in mugs in front of them.

He finally understood what triggered her. I didn't choose you. Of all the words he can choose, he said those to Yoona. Can he be arrested for hitting an idol?

Yoona nodded. "I said some things too. And then I walked out saying that I quit." She bit her lip. "Now I realize I might have been too hasty."

Jaehyuk didn't speak. Sometimes, someone just has to listen.

Yoona sighed and turned to him. "Jaehyuk-ah, do you think I'm doing the right thing?"

"Noona, I think everything you're doing is right because you're YOU!" He cheerily answered.

Yoona laughed.

"I just want you to know.. of all the children in the orphanage, I clinged to noona because Yoona noona is the best~ I chose noona to be my family and I am so lucky."

She shook her head at him but his words truly warmed her heart.

"Other people might not agree or like Yoona noona but I will always pick Yoona noona over everyone else!"

"Okay, okay, enough!" She chuckled. "Amber might think my being dramatic is rubbing off on you."

"It's true~ You have a big heart, noona. I know that if there is something you can do to help a person, you will do it. Regardless of who that person is. It's why you became a problem solver, isn't it?"

Yoona's heart melted. Damn if that's not the sweetest pep talk she ever heard.
