Momo's POV:
"It's been a week Momo! You cannot avoid going back to the agency for longer. It's really petty-" Jennie started

"She dismissed me Jen! Look, I get that I've been driven by the idea of revenge but the whole of the underworld is more or less controlled by my father. And you know this! His power down there has been increasing. Using my grandfather's name to make his name isn't helping us either." I scoffed

"As much as I agree with you Mo, you need to come back. Everyone knows you're avoiding Irene because of what she said."

"I admit I've been blind and  even selfish, but the one thing I don't agree with is what she said about my dad not being the cause of all our problems. You think just because Jeongyeon and the others didn't know I'm part of another agency, he doesn't too? You think he doesn't know about Nayeon? I'm sure he does! And I know for a fact that I've fallen into his trap. I tried.. but that man- is always a step ahead. Bringing him down is like bringing the whole underworld down. Or setting it loose. And it doesn't help that Mina did some unwanted crap" I groaned

"Trap? You really think he knew about Nayeon all this while? Then... Why didn't he do anything?" Jen asked after a pause

"He probably thought I'd lead him to it or something"

"Why.. Why haven't you brought him down then?" a new voice asked and I whipped my head to see Jeongyeon.

"Oh my god" I muttered

"He threatened her" Jennie answered for me after having recovered from the initial shock.

"With what?"

"The truth," she continued, finally looking at Jeong.

"No... It's nothing" I interrupted glaring at Jennie.

"Truth?"

"And he also might've threatened you... So Momo the genius over here, takes his crap. And she's taken it for years apparently. Gotten beaten, shot, hurt, lost people she cared about and god knows what else" Jennie snapped

"Jen-"

"What? He... You-" Jeong stammered but before she could continue we heard footsteps and heard someone call for Jeongyeon. Mina. That was her voice.

I cursed under my breath for having picked a room with only one opening in an abandoned building. The only place that was anything close to an opening was the giant gaping hole in the wall. I bent down to peer down and hissed. The footsteps were getting closer and I was running out of time.

"Momo!" Jennie hissed pointing to a ledge at the corner.

"You want her to jump out of the hole and land there? You crazy?" Jeong whisper yelled

"She's an assassin, this is nothing for her. She has been trained for such things"

I paid them no heed as I backed away from the hole angling myself so that I could make the jump. I rolled my shoulders and ran at the count of three before I felt myself suspended in the air. I dug my nails into the wall as I pulled myself onto the ledge. My arms barked in protest and I looked back to see Jennie give me a subtle nod before turning to where Mina and Sana probably were.  I hissed as I climbed into the window and  slipped into the building. I sank to the floor and stayed there for a while until I was sure that I wouldn't run into any of them.

I used that time to think about what I intended to do. I needed to get my plan in order before thin
