Momo's POV:

I slammed the table and panted. Things weren't going my way at all!. I

"Momo this is not the way to solve things! You know it!" Irene huffed.

"So? Do you have a better plan? They've moved to phase one and have begun to find out about the guy! They'll connect the dots in no time" I snarled.

"Unnie-" Chaeyoung started but I glared at her cutting her off.

"What are we cowards?" Jennie scoffed. I whirled around and let out a humorless laugh

"You have no idea what my dad can do.. If Jeongyeon and her team are looking for Lim Jaehyun it means something" I pressed

"But unnie you said-" Tzuyu started but Jennie cut her off "You say we don't know what he can do.. That is because you never tell us!"

"Jennie.." Irene started but I scoffed and clicked my tongue.

"Are you trying to say I'm lying?" I asked

"You act as if you know everything but you really don't! You can't even manage your own company! How am I supposed to take your word here?"

"Those aren't even related unnie!" Chaeyoung said with an incredulous look

"It is! In ways more than one" she persisted

"What are you trying to say really?" I asked stalking closer to her

"You're not worthy of your position in this agency" she replied and I let my inner demon show in the smile I gave her

"Jennie.. You're fighting a game you can't win" Irene said with a sigh and I flicked my eyebrows posing an unspoken challenge

"Take my words on this... You will lose all this that you have if you cower before your dad" she yelled before pushing me aside and storming out.

I let out a breath and turned to Irene. Irene just looked away and shook her head.

"Really? Do I look like a coward? Is that what you guys think? "

"Momo look- I'm the only one here who probably really knows you.  And I know you aren't a coward but.. When it comes to your dad and his agency... You seem to chicken out or avoid it entirely" she admitted with a grimace.

I threw my hands in the air and bit my tongue in my anger.

"He.. He made me break up with my ex! He did things to her that I wouldn't have deemed possible. He ruins lives. He has a whole legion of criminals hiding behind those doors! And this agency is not ready to face the brute power my dad controls. What we need isn't a fight. What we need is in the papers and not the man power or whatever you'd like to call it. We need to find this formula that he is after before Jeong does. We need to secure it and make sure he never gets it in his hands."
