I promise you I will be back soon.” Yongsun said while kissing her daughter’s cheeks and before stepping into living room. Her steps stopped for a moment in front of the large mirror, looking at the reflection of her wearing a dark blue dress gifted by her president’s son. 

Jisoo, the helper who was assigned to take care of her daughter while she attended a formal company dinner, she looked at her for a moment. Her style was quite different from the babysitter title that given to her. 

Even Yongsun herself was shocked when she first saw Jisoo. If it was not her president’s son who gave her a certainty, surely Yongsun would have doubted Jisoo’s real job. She would believe more if Park Sodam said that Jisoo worked as a model than a babysitter.    

“Mommy, don’t go. I don’t want to stay home with that fierce aunty. I don’t like her.” Eun Byul whined to her mother. 

Yongsun bend down to kiss the little girl. Her heart was heavy to leave her daughter. Let alone left Eun Byul with a stranger where she knew nothing about her. 

Sodam should have known that she never agreed to attend any company dinner before. President Park himself never voiced any conditions for her to attend any social events outside their office hours even though it was able to open the opportunity to expend their company’s wings. It was never detailed in the employment contract she had once signed with President Park. 

“Byulie, don’t do this to me. I really need to there for a while. This is my work and not I going there for fun. You know right that mommy really loves you.” Yongsun tried to persuade her clingy daughter.

“Mommy, please. I don’t want to stay home without you.” Eun Byul kept begging while pulling her dress. She jumped up and down her small body with pouty mouth, trying to gain her mother’s sympathy. 

Yongsun rarely said no to her daughter every time she showed her puppy eyes. She always did what Eun Byul wanted even she knew that the kid will be spoiled.

Her heart sank when a gloomy face of her daughter pierced her eyes. God… Kim Eun Byul was her life. After she was disowned by her family and friends left her, only Eun Byul gave her spirit to move on. 

She never had intention to hurt her feeling who was still too young to know the hardship of the life. Eun Byul still didn’t understand how heavy the responsibilities that she had on her shoulder. There was too much Yongsun had to sacrifice as a single mother and as one of the executive of an international company. 

“Baby…” Yongsun called before kneeling in front of the small body. She the little girl’s hairs. If only she can brought her daughter with her. She sighed.

“I do all this for us, for our future, Byulie. I will just go there for a while. I promise. You know right that I love you more than anything. I can’t live without you, baby.”

“I am sorry, mommy.” Eun Byul said before hugging her mother’s neck tightly.

“I promise I will be back in 4 hours. After this, I promise that I will never go out at night again without bring you too.”

“Promise, mommy?” Eun Byul asked while raised her little finger. 

Yongsun smiled widely.

“Of course I promise you.” She said back while crossed her finger to her daughter’s small finger. 

“So don’t be naughty, my baby. Can you hear to Aunty Jisoo later?” The little girl nodded to her mother. 

“Do you have number that I can call n case of emergency?” Jisoo asked. Yongsun turned to the babysitter when she heard she asked. 

“Yes. I just wanted to ask for your number too. My number is…” Yongsun said while she took out her Iphone from her purse. “0112345678.” She continued.

Jisoo typed the number and pressed the dial button and Yongsun phone rang immediately. She save her phone number into the contact.

“Byulie always drinks warm water before she goes to bed. She knows how to brush teeth by her own but can you look after her when she gargles. Sometime she wets her pajama without notice. She likes to watch news on TV but please watch for her. She easily gets scared if see the accident picture.
