It was not a surprise when the Star crew CEO announced Hotshot's disbandment and Star crew closing down, but it still hurt the members and the fans (except the sungwoon akgaes who were partying...). The members of Hotshot thought that it was over now. In January 2020, and [Junhyuk] had enlisted. To people's surprise, most popular (ex?)member [Sungwoon] enlisted soon after as well. [Sungwoon] hadn't been back to Hotshot since he debuted with Wanna one. He was the one that brought in profit, but also more radical fans, so the CEO did not allow him back into the group, he had to stay away at all costs. It was always saddening for the members, but orders are orders, so [Sungwoon] had separated himself from the team. The disbandment happened in December of 2020, after a year of absolute radio silence, and also [Taehyun], [Yoonsan] and [Hojung] went to enlist.

A few days after the disbandment, the members were trying to get used to their new life without the group, after all,Β they were normal people now. Not that they were that famous anyway before that.... But then they got a call, from their stylist. All 5 of themΒ got the same call from her. 'Do you want to continue?' she said to them...

The stylist, who gained money through designing fashion in her free time, had asked the CEO if she could buy the company, and he gave it to her for a dime, not expecting her to be able to do anything with it. This girl had plans, out of pure love for the members that she had worked with before the disbandment. She wanted to help them out. She wanted to create a new Hotshot, an upgraded Hotshot, the old members, a clean slate, in an attempt to leave their old hardships and demons behind. Cygnus was the new name, the name of the swan constellation. The stylist liked space things.

6 months after Hotshot's disbandment, Cygnus was announced to the public, and originally, it wasn't revealed that this would be Hotshot redebuting. Not too long after, [Junhyuk] returned from the army, so people started to speculate. Was anyone of Hotshot going to be in the new group? There's no way, right? They had just announced that they were recruiting new trainees for Cygnus, there's no way that these old idols would still be there.
A year after Hotshot's disbandment, it was finally the time for Cygnus to debut. Just like Hotshot, they had 6 members. [Junhyuk] and 4 brand new idols that were recruited in the last 6 months. Unfortunately, Timoteo decided to not redebut with the others and pursue other fields instead, but the 6th member was the biggest surprise of all. It was [Sungwoon], who was finally allowed back with the rest of his former group, now that the new CEO took power. It was a risky move to include him because of the fans, but she and the boys were prepared for it, because Sungwoon wanted to be back. But fans were still devastated, because out of the original 6, only 2 were back. But oh boy, we got a big storm coming.

And the storm hit them hard when Cygnus' first comeback came around, and it had three additional members, [Taehyun], [Yoonsan] and [Hojung], who were freshly out of the army. And this is how Cygnus was born from the ashes of Hotshot, rising like a phoenix, no, like a swan...
