VALLEY OF THE DEAD

 

He thinks we can escape, he hopes, he prays, he begs. But we all know better. These beings aren't like anything anyone has ever known. They are dangerous, they are deadly and mostly, they aren't humane.

We who wanted to escape hell, almost forgot the most important teaching, that : "Hell is empty, and all the devils are here."

A trip that was supposed to be the route to our redemption, turned us in, to the very hands of the sinners.

Speaking of redemption, it is indeed one. But a sickeningly twisted one.

• Disclaimer : There will be graphic scenes, mentions of character death(s), it won't really be gore but if you are uncomfortable with explicit scenes (not ually but graphically) then I'd recommend you to avoid it. I won't be rating it for a certain age category because I think the amount of horror/thriller it will contain is acceptable to the people here on this platform, unless you are too young,  lurking around here, unsupervised.
  
  Trigger warnings will be added in the chapters necessary.
   
• Despite the aforementioned drawbacks, I will ask you to give it a shot because it will have quite deep and meaningful elements to it, even if it might not look like it from the foreword and description of it ! 

• Inspiration(s) : I had a dream that contained a fraction of the story, but the rest of it was sketched out on my own. If it coincides with some other plot, it is purely unintended & conincidental.
   
• Chapter(s) & word count : I'm intending to make it a short story with very long chapters. I have a deadline to meet but I will not be rushing it if it means to preserve the quality of the fiction. So it won't be stretched unnecessarily long.
  
  Chapter and word count will be added after the end of the story.
   
• Contest : This is an entry to "ESCAPE CONTEST".
