FOREWORD:

Donghae was seated regally at the back of the sleek car as 10 more cars followed in convoy with his other vampire brothers. Tonight was his 1500th year as a vampire and his 1000th year as the Vampire World's ruler. He swirled the wine concucted with blood as he elegantly placed the rim of the expensive wine glass against his thin lips, taking a sip of the sweet but bitter drink. 

"Sire, we have found a small bar just outside Seoul. Their are approximately 56 humans partying inside." His right-hand man, Kim Namjoon said in a respectful voice. The vampire king gave a short wave of dismissal, silently telling them to move faster to their destination. 

The drive was short as the light of the moon shone brightly against Donghae's pale skin. 1500 years of being a vampire, has it been that long? His non beating heart gave a painful thud — he was the most strongest and fiercest vampire leader yet, he was alone. When will he find his mate? Someone who'll complete his mundane life. He had gone through too many era's that he had given up. Maybe he was destined to be alone forever.

The inner musings of the vampire was shortly cutoff as they had parked outside a rundown bar. It was unkept and it looked like it was about to fall apart anytime soon. The loud music from the inside shooked the exterior of the bar. The smell of alcohol, blood and smoke infiltrated the vampire's nose, his throat going dry as venom pooled into his mouth. 

He stepped out of the car to see his other 2 brothers with their mates strode elegantly towards him. "Let's have a good time, brothers." The vampire king said with a small smirk. The four other vampires grinned, nodding. 

They were quick as they began to throw hell over the club, their body guards also feeding and slaughtering. Donghae was in the middle of his second human when the most enticing smell fell on his nose. 

Fear. Lust. Need. 

Donghae whipped his head harshly as he felt a strong pull of intense desire course through his body. His eyes wildly scanning the room before his red piercing gaze landed on the cowering stripper, his blonde hair contrasted with the dimly lit bar, he had single lidded almond shaped eyes, a sharp jaw, and the most plump reddish lips Donghae has ever laid his eyes on. He could hear the loud thump of the human's heart and his labored breathing in fear of being harmed. 

His sharp gaze locked with the stripper's brown warm eyes, Donghae's eyebrow rose in recognition as flames of instense desire began to grow all over his body, he wanted to touch the human, him, bite him, mark him and make the human his. 

Donghae stiffened. 

This human...was his mate.
