“Okay, you have the list right?” Hongjoong asked as he took Siyeon’s little hand, Seonghwa nodded, taking out the piece of paper and waving it in the air.

 

“Great~,” Hongjoong said with a big smile, Seola stood next to Seonghwa and looked between her dad and Seonghwa with a confused look.

 

“Daddy where we go with uncle?” Seola asked.

 

“We are going to go buy some things to clean up this place,” Hongjoong said with a smile as he held out his hand to her, she nodded a bit and then looked at Seonghwa and held out her hand, Seonghwa looked at her.

 

“Do you want to hold my hand?” he asked and she nodded.

 

“Okay here” he took her hand and Hongjoong smiled at the sight, Seola was on the shyer side and she never really was the first one to start an interaction but it seemed she grew quite fond of Seonghwa with the few days he had been staying there, she would sit next to him when they watched tv and she would fall asleep snuggled up to him, it made him happy.

 

The two placed the girls in their car seats and then proceeded to get into Hongjoong’s car. It was a somewhat short drive, the town was small, sure but it wasn’t microscopic so they luckily didn’t have to drive out of town to get the supplies.

 

When they got there they took the girls out of the car and got two shopping carts, they placed the girls in one cart and used the other to get the things they came for.

 

They moved through the isle’s and got what they needed Hongjoong to push the cart with the twins in and Seonghwa had the other, Hongjoong would read the items on the list out and Seonghwa would try to find it.

 

What neither of the two noticed was that they drew quite the crowd, Hongjoong had been living in the area for quite a while now but he hardly ever went out with someone, not even with Yunho whom he was the closest with, out of his friends. So because of him being with Seonghwa, who was a complete stranger to everyone in the town, they couldn’t help but be curious.

 

When they stood in the queue to pay Hongjoong’s phone started ringing, he quickly took it out of his jacket pocket and answered it.

 

“Hi Yun” Hongjoong greeted.

 

“Mhm, I’m not sure, Seola is still recovering right now and Mingi is busy so I have nowhere to leave them” 

 

Seonghwa looked at him curiously, Hongjoong mouthed that it was Yunho on the line, Seonghwa nodded a little.

 

“If Yunho needs help I can look after them for you” Seonghwa whispered to him.

 

“You sure?” Hongjoong asked, holding the phone away for a bit, to which Seonghwa nodded.

 

“Turns out I can be of help Yun, Seonghwa offered to look after the twins for me,” Hongjoong said with a big smile, Seonghwa heard an excited voice coming across the line so he couldn’t help but laugh.

 

The people in the queue looked at the two with small smiles on their faces, they found the two quite adorable, and they found themselves wanting to know more about them.

 

They paid and left the shop, they unpacked the cart with the help of the shop assistant and Seonghwa placed the twins in their seats. Hongjoong drove them home and helped Seonghwa unpack the car once again, they had a few things that needed to be delivered as well.

 

Hongjoong went to Yunho’s cafe leaving Seonghwa with the twins, luckily they fell asleep on the way home so Seonghwa placed them in their beds and started sorting everything they bought.

 

For Hongjoong once he arrived at the cafe he was met with Yunho and his other friend Yeosang - who worked as a 1st-grade teacher.

 

“Yeo, Yun how are you two?” Hongjoong asked once he walked in.

 

“I’m good hyung” Yeosang replied with a big smile, Yunho nodded agreeing with Yeosang.

 

“Good, so Yun what exactly do we need to bake?” Hongjoong asked the tall boy.

 

“Well, Yeosang asked for some mini cakes and icing and decorations, he wants to use them in class tomorrow for the kids to decorate,” Yunho told the boy.

 

“That’s cool, then we should get started, Yeo do you have a list of the kids’ allergies?” 

 

“Yep I do, I gave it to Yun”

 

“Good, is Gi joining us later?”  Hongjoong asked.

 

“Yep, Mrs. Jung will pick up her son in a bit then he will come over,” Yunho told him and he nodded.

 

They started getting everything to bake, they had their aprons on and started working on the baking. After a while the bell rang indicating someone was there, since the cafe was closed they already knew it was Mingi, he greeted them and joined them in the kitchen.

 

“Joong hyung, did you go out this morning?” Mingi asked him.

 

“Oh yeah, I went to go buy supplies to fix up the Inn, how did you know?” Hongjoong told them as he threw the batter into the pan.

 

“Well, hyung you are the talk of the town, a tall handsome guy was with you at the shop this morning, and believe me the old ladies of this town are interested,” Mingi said with a teasing smile.

 

“Oh… well,” Hongjoong said his ears turning a little red. “I was out with Seonghwa” 

 

“The blizzard guy?” Yunho asked, a little surprised.

 

“Yep, we had a bonding moment a little while ago and now we are planning to fix up the Inn together” 

 

“That sounds kinda like some relationship commitment to me,” Yeosang said teasingly.

 

“Well it ain’t, Seonghwa is quite straight, so… that is a dead-end street,” Hongjoong said catching everyone’s attention, they all looked at him a bit, the tone of his voice and the slight pout on his face made them worry, they were worried that Hongjoong might have caught feeling for the boy already.

 

“Well you never know, he might not be all that straight, so don’t lose hope hyung,” Yeosang said patting the olders back.

 

“What do you mean? You make it sound like I have some sort of feelings for him” Hongjoong asked them with a laugh.

 

“Hyung,” Yunho said with a straight face.

 

“Okay so, he is nice, like really nice okay? And he gets along with the girls so well and I have this small crush on him, but that’s all it is, he won’t even be here forever so I will get over it, so don’t worry okay? It’s only temporary” Hongjoong told them.

 

They still couldn’t help but worry, they all met Hongjoong by chance, but when he first arrived he was quite gloomy and quiet and they finally got him to be brighter and more open to them and they are scared that when Seonghwa leaves and Hongjoong isn’t over him the boy will be left in the same state once again.
