Description

Four years ago, Song Jihyo goes missing. The members cope with their loss, fearing the worst, but she never comes back. That is, until a mysterious lookalike reappears with just one problem: she has no clue who her celebrity doppelgänger is.

And Kim Jongkook swears to find the truth, even if it wrecks his life and career.

Foreword

“Excuse me Miss, are you—“

That’s when Jongkook stops, his breath taken away as he finally takes a closer look at the woman. A chill runs down his spine — his eyes just can’t process the stranger’s face. In one of these rare moments, he is utterly speechless.

The woman only stares back, confused at this strange man cutting his words off mid-sentence. And when her face becomes expressionless, the memories rush back into his mind like water from a broken dam.

Jongkook is staring at a ghost.

The resemblance is uncanny; he just cannot look away. How is it that the very woman he is thinking of can appear right in front of him, like a magician conjuring up a rabbit from his hat? This must be a prank. Or he’s hallucinating! He’s been working out too late these days and schedules have been piling up, this must be the effect of exhaustion.

“Um, hello?” The woman calls, waving her hands in front of his face. “Can I help you?”

If he needed any more memories to haunt him, this would have been the last straw. Even her voice sounds the same, something he hasn’t heard in years.

Before he can stop himself, his eyes fill with tears, glistening under the moonlight as he gazes at the familiar face in front of him.

“Jihyo.”

My second attempt at a chaptered Spartace story. Where She Went is an AU, with changes post Kang Gary's departure on Running Man. All character personalities and plot are purely fictional. I hope you enjoy this one as much as my previous stories! :) Updates may not be frequent, but I'm looking forward to finishing this.

Chapter 25: Oh my gosh, it is so rare to see mental health written so carefully into a story. I love how you were so respectful with the topic. It’s such a sensitive topic that can easily turn into disrespect if not handled carefully. Very few people are able to tackle such topics with ease and I laud you for how beautifully you’ve incorporated mental health in your story. There’s the perfect blend of romance, drama, sweetness, darkness, and pain. Kudos to a job well done! I loved this and I really look forward to reading more from you! :)
