"No , Ji! I'm not trying to scare you! That woman is tested positive!"

Jiyong watched the other end of the caller droning on and on, a panic-stricken expression written all over his face. Judging from his pal's expression, he knew he wasn't fooling around and he's certain that he wouldn't be using such news to play a prank on him.

"So? I was drunk but I'm pretty sure I didn't her at all."

"How sure are you that your blood didn't mingle with hers? She was all over you that night! Didn't you guys make out?! You better have yourself tested, bro!"

Jiyong couldn't answer and he took a glance down at the faint cut on his finger that was almost healed. He's sure that he didn't pick girls up to spend the night in the hotel ever since Yoona had moved in to stay with them but it's also true that he could be so intoxicated that he didn't pay attention to his surroundings during that night. He could have missed out little details here and there. Hell, he wasn't even sure when he got that cut on his finger until Yoona pointed out. For all he knew, this cut might have been inflicted during that fateful night.

"I'll call you back."

Without waiting for his response, Jiyong hang the call.

Leaning against his chair, his empty office amplified the silence even more and his friend's words lingering in his mind. Unknowingly, he started browsing and seaching on the net, with the keyword -

Symptoms of HIV.

There were thousands, no millions of articles and he clicked in the top few, scanning through them, his blood running colder by the second.

Within 2 to 4 weeks after infection with HIV, about two-thirds of people will have a flu-like illness...

The last interaction with that said woman was around a month ago and yes, a few days ago, he was having chills and fever. He thought it was normal work fatigue and took aspirins, but it didn't seem to help at all as he was beginning to break into night sweats and just this morning, he was experiencing aches on the muscles so badly that he couldn't get out of bed until Heeyeon brought him painkillers.

Touching his lymph nodes now, they felt swollen.

Jiyong closed the browser immediately, his vision blurred all of a sudden as imagination started flying around. Closing his eyes for a brief moment, he tried to stablise his breathings and eventually, he reopened his eyes and sighed, his expression darkened as he dialled on his phone.

"Dr. Lee, it's me, Kwon Jiyong."

"Jiyong-sshi is not joining for dinner?" Yoona asked as she realised that the dining table only had her and Kiko.

"He's been in the room ever since he came back. Probably busy with his work. His face is black as charcoal. If I were you, I wouldn't go step on his tail," Kiko smirked as she ate her rice.

Kiko had came to terms that living with Yoona was the reality and though she still have a strong hatred for her, she had learnt to conceal it well. After all, she wouldn't deny that under her care, she did feel slightly better. This illness of hers was never going to recover but at least the pain during the nights wouldn't wake her up, crying and screaming. Hence, she figured out that she would stay mum and keep this woman by her side. Besides, didn't they always say it's best to keep your enemies under your watch?

"Oh," Yoona didn't want to appear to be too concerned about Jiyong in front of Kiko.

She knew Kiko didn't like the fact that Jiyong and her hit off pretty well. Though their marriage was arranged, Yoona still respected Kiko as Mrs. Kwon and it was her duty as a nurse to ensure that her patient's mood would not be adversely affected by her. She always believes that when a patient is happy, the pain in his body will lessen too. Since Kiko wasn't making things difficult for her now, she thought it'd be best she leave her alone and not step on her toes again. Who knew what this crazy woman would be up to. She wouldn't say they like each other, but at least they're maintaining a cordial relationship.

The dinner continued and ended in silence as they finished the meal. Kiko had an appointment with her Mum and after sending her off, the mansion was exceptionally quiet. The voice in Yoona's head kept on buzzing and she finally sighed as she stood up, walking to the dining table.

"Ahyeon ah, you're going to throw these away?"

"It seems like master is not going to come down to eat tonight," Ahyeon frowned. "I tried knocking just now but he said he didn't want any dinner."

"Uhm, how about I bring it to him?" Yoona suggested.

"I know you meant well, Yoona-sshi, but... are you sure?" Ahyeon was a little skeptical. "Mistress was right you know. There was a time master was very angsty and angry that he literally threw a glass bottle against the wall, causing the pieces to fly everywhere. It didn't hurt anyone though, only himself."

Anger management issue - was the first thought that came to Yoona's mind.

"It's fine," Yoona gave a smile. "I'll be able to handle it."

Ahyeon was looking for signs of uneasiness in her expression but found none. Hence, she nodded and prepared the food on the tray, giving it to her. Yoona took it over and headed up to the study room. She dismissed the thought of knocking because she didn't want Jiyong to have the chance to react and chase her away. Hence, she opened the door first, her voice ringing.

"Jiyong-sshi, I-"

PIANG!

ϟϟϟϟϟϟϟϟ

"D-Don't touch me!"

Jiyong was holding on to his wine glass, deep in thoughts, when Yoona came in unexpectedly. He was startled by that sudden noise and his grip faltered, causing the wine glass to fall and shatter. He cut himself in the process but Yoona was quick to react, coming to his side immediately, wanting to look at his wound, but he shouted in panic.

Definitely anger management issue, thought Yoona.

"Is everything okay?" Instead, Yoona replied with a concerned look.

"N-Nothing," Jiyong pulled away from her awkwardly, trying to calm himself down.

"You're bleeding. You need to cover your wound," Yoona went to the cupboard to get the first-aid kit immediately, taking out a band aid, wanting to put on his finger.

"I-I-I'll do it myself..." Jiyong shunned again, taking the band aid from her, putting it on his wound. "T-Thanks..."

Yoona found his actions really weird and couldn't help but ask, "are you sure everything is fine, Jiyong-sshi? You don't look that well."

Jiyong looked into her wide doe eyes and found that he couldn't hide things from her at all. Furthermore, she's a nurse and just one simple glance at him, she could tell that something was amiss.

"Yeahs, actually..."

He started pouring out the truth to her and she listened intently. After listening to his story, Yoona couldn't help but let out a chuckle.

"W-What?" Jiyong frowned at her reaction.

Was she mocking him?

"N-Nothing!" Yoona suppressed her giggles, trying to put on a serious expression.

Who would have known the cold, firm, stoic Kwon Jiyong could act like this, being all so shy and nervous? Oh, and so that wasn't anger management issue; it was anxiety instead.

"H-Hey..." Jiyong suddenly felt his superior aura slipping away from him.

In front of her, he is like a helpless kid, craving for attention and care.

"O-Okay okay," Yoona chuckled slightly and feigned cough. "Right. So, when will the result be out?"

"I don't like that expression at all, Yoona-sshi. It's like you're mocking me," Jiyong pouted before giving a sigh. "The rapid test is 20 minutes but my doc said to play safe, he's going to run a few more tests. It'll probably be a week."

"I'm not mocking at you. Just feeling a little... surprised," Yoona smiled. "Didn't expect the GM of Kwon Group acting like this. Thought you're always the stable and calm Mr.
