Boundaries
My Trainer Is A HottieAfter a couple of months, Jessica and Taeyeon's meetings outside the gym became more frequent. Jessica would usually be the one to initiate but Taeyeon had since started becoming more comfortable in asking the girl for a quick meet up somewhere just to talk about everyday life and helping the girl navigate her feelings for ex, Yuri. Juhyun started noticing that Jessica was quite happier the past few months but couldn't put a finger as to why she felt more vibrant, until she started noticing Jessica's interaction with her client, Taeyeon.
Juhyun decided to talk to Jessica behind closed doors about the situation. After all, professionaly, it doesn't look good. Although, Juhyun never really cared much about her employees' personal matters but Jessica is one of the best friends she's ever had so she felt obliged to be on the girl's business.
"What happened to not picking up any of your dates in the workplace?" Juhyun chuckled as she swirled around on her seat.
Jessica, giving her a smug looked, cooly replied, "what do you mean? I'm not dating anyone."
Juhyun stopped her chair abruptly, slamming both the palms of her hands on top of her desk, "why have you been happier lately? Huh? Are you not bothered by Yuri anymore?"
"What is with the daggering questions?" Jessica chuckled, "do you miss me that much, Juhyun?"
Indeed, ever since she started hanging out with Taeyeon, Jessica haven't really asked Juhyun to hang out anymore.
"It's quite unfair that you've been hanging out with your clients more than your long time best friend," Juhyun pouted.
"Well, if you think about it, I'm not really getting paid by that client of mine so she's not really considered my client? I just offered to help her out as far as I remember," Jessica pondered as she recalled the first day she met Taeyeon.
"You know, if you think about it, you would have earned a lot already with the sessions you already have had with her," Juhyun pointed out, "why don't you start charging her? Is she your little project?"
"To consider someone as a little project is dehumanizing... but you could say it like that," Jessica kept pondering, "at least before."
Juhyun eyed on Jessica.
"Don't tell me you're attracted to that human paper," she gasped.
"Well," Jessica pondered harder, "she does have her unique cuteness..."
"Jung.Soo.Yeon!" Juhyun gasped loudly, calling Jessica by her Korean name, "are you downgrading from a y black swan to a paper-thin stick of a human being?"
"Ya! Why are you so mean?" Jessica chuckled.
Going back to her office, Jessica filled her head with questions and thoughts regarding her previous policy upon herself. She didn't really expect to have such a unique type of relationship with a client that just casually built itself and worked its way through. In fact, her growing relationship with Taeyeon definitely kept building through the weird chances of themselves finding each other while out and about the streets of Seoul.
Was it a coincidence? Maybe. But Jessica knew that she was thankful for the friendship that she is organically building with Taeyeon. Although, the talk did remind her of the promise she made of herself. Never build a relationship through work.
At home, Jessica smothered herself in the fluffy white cotton comforters on her bed. She couldn't stop thinking about the conversation she had with Juhyun and how it relates to her blossoming friendship with Taeyeon. She did know, as it is very obvious, that Taeyeon had the hots for her. It was also her own narcissism telling her about it. But she didn't want to break her friendship with the girl. As long as she avoided the whole thing, it won't ever get to the negative parts like how it had been happening when she would go out with clients or co-workers, right?
"Why are you even conflicted about it?" Jessica asked herself, "it's not like Taeyeon is someone you're attracted to anyway."
At their next session, since Taeyeon has been improving with her strength, Jessica decided to kick it up a notch and add some free weights to their workout. She was standing by the reception area wearing her uniform track suit, waiting for the petite girl to come in through the glass doors in front of her.
"You seem very impatient today," one of the receptionist jokingly whispered to her.
"I just have something stuck in my head since the day it was mentioned," Jessica murmured under her breath, trying not to be too loud about her personal business.
"Damn, that bad?" the receptionist made a disgusted look.
Thankfully, to save her pain from the receptionist making small talk, Taeyeon arrived to the gym. The girl usually wore oversized t-shirts and shorts. Sometimes she would also w
