THE END AND THE BEGINNING

SINCE THERE IS YOU

At the tall building of Seoul, there is Kang Seulgi who is a secret agent under the South Korean government kneeling along with her sniper riffle preparing for a long range shoot from a distant building from her. Shutting her left eye while observing with her right eye.

“Target 1 confirm entrance.” Seulgi said as she could ready to fire the gun anytime.

A drug syndicate are planning to bomb the park around Seoul to get the attention of people and get rid of the checkpoints as trucks of s are about to deliver within an hour.

“All playgrounds and parks in Seoul are clear.” Her co agent from the head quarters said.

Fixing her earpiece she made sure not to get distracted with some loud noises from her colleagues. “The bomb is about to explode in 5 minutes.” Siwon informed Seulgi. “The remote is in the hands of Target 1. Make sure to shoot him if he pulled out his phone.”

But as soon as Seulgi adjusted the scope for better view. She became hesitant and doubted to fire the gun. “2minutes on the clock Agent Kang!” Siwon screamed over her earpiece which she seemed didn’t hear. As the face of the person becomes clearer she failed to fire the gun even if her target is already locked.

And the next thing she knew, a loud explosion at the park happen. All that Seulgi could hear is the rants from her Boss, the Siren from ambulance and firetrucks that she seemed not to care at all.

At the head quarters, the agents and some minor employees gathered around as Seulgi entered the premises. Spacing out and looking from nowhere. It is weird since Seulgi never failed her mission and what’s questionable was she’s already an inch to accomplish her mission.

As she enters Siwon’s office, he couldn’t help but to curse Seulgi. “What the hell just happened there?” Swaying the mug of coffee that he didn’t even mind to drink at all causing it to break on the floor.

Seulgi sighed. “I quit.”

“What?” Siwon suddenly became calm and gulped. Seulgi is the last agent that he wishes to lose. He pray to the every Gods for her life everytime she’s on a mission. “Uhm,.. I know I was a little bit harsh.”

“No, I just wanted to quit. I will send my resignation letter through email.” Seulgi coldly said and walked out from her Boss’ office.

Walking calmly to her cubicle, Seulgi pulled out a box under her table and grab everything she could on her desk. Siwon rushed to her still trying to convince her not to quit. “Fine, I was wrong for scolding you.” He said. “I am sorry but we cannot lose someone like you.” He told him.

Tidying up her desk, she carried the box with her stuffs inside it. Her colleagues bowed at her respectfully as she make her way through the exit. Most of the are shock to learn that Seulgi failed her mission but just like Siwon they don’t want her to leave the Secret agency.

“Agent Kang!” Lami called her before she could get a cab. She run to approach her and handed her a socks. “I’m sorry if this is only I could give you.”

Seulgi smiled. She knew that she’s everyone’s favorite. “Thank you Lami.”

“Yah Kang Seulgi!” Siwon stomp his feet as soon as Seulgi grabs the taxi. “Yah, I am taking this as a joke, i’ll still see you tomorrow right?” He said as he faked a smile and waved for goodbye.

“Tsh,.” Lami made sure to express how dismay she was. “You could have just let it slide. How could you scold her that hard if its just her first failed mission?”

“Since when you’re allowed to talk to your Boss like that?”

Seulgi stared at the window of the taxi as she makes her way to her home. Even if she’s not yet halfway from her home Siwon is already calling her. She turned off the phone, pressed the button of the window o slide it down and threw the phone to the river. After what happened last night, she realized that the job she had is more challenging than she thought it was and she never wanted to be at the same position again.
Seulgi reached her home and as soon as she entered the gate. She found a BMW big bike parked at the side of the staircase to their home. “Yeji-aaa… I’m home.” She said and as soon as she open the door she found the key of the big bike.

“Oh please don’t tell me that big bike belongs to you.” She told her sister who’s currently preparing for breakfast. Faking a smile and failing to look at her eyes. Unfortunately, they’re sisters and they really look a like. No matter how Yeji tries her best to fake her facial expression Seulgi would notice it since its just feel like she’s looking in the mirror.

“Unnie don’t scold me in the morning.” Yeji frowned and noticed a box. “Omo… what are you holding?”

Seulgi sighed and placed the box of her stuffs on the chair beside where she took a sit. “I already quit in my job..”

“Oh so you’re no longer a flight attendant?” Yeji asked as she place some soup in her bowl.

Ever since Seulgi became a secret agent, she has been hiding everything to Yeji. Both of their parents died when they’re still young and she doesn’t want her to be aware that her previous job is dangerous. She doesn’t want her younger sister to get worried.

“So where did you got that big bike?” Seulgi asked her sister.

“Well Lia gave it to me after I made it to the dean’s list this semester.”

“You’re always in the dean’s list every semester.” Seulgi said and that’s when she realized that Yeji has a lot of things that she didn’t buy for her. Her PS4, Skateboard, limited edition sneakers and more. “Can you tell me how rich your girlfriend is?”

“Oh come on Unnie, I didn’t ask her to buy me this stuffs.” Yeji said. “Remember that day when we had dinner? She insisted to buy the meal for us. She’s really like that. She loves to spend to those people she loves.”

Seulgi nods. “As long as she won’t use these stuffs against you I am fine with that.” Seulgi and Lia have met once. Yeji invited her for dinner during the achievers awards in their school and Seulgi didn’t find any reason to hate Lia at all. They really get along and she never gave Lia a hard time that made her comfortable to eat around her.

“Anyway, you don’t have to give my allowance for a month.” Yeji informed her. “Lia already filled my account more than enough for this month.”

Yeji isn’t the type of a person asking for money or stuffs but whenever anyone gave her such, she never declines it. “What? Yah. Tell Lia that isn’t her responsibility.” Seulgi complained. “Send it back to her or else you’ll going to be in a big trouble.”

“Unnie, I told you I didn’t ask for this.” Yeji frowned once again. As if she’s losing her appetite. Seulgi makes her feel that she begged it to Lia when in reality she was also surprised to found out that her bank account is already filled.

Seulgi could see how she unintentionally made Yeji feel upset. “Fine.” She exhales as she escapes a deep breath. “But this will be the last. Tell Lia to save all her spare money on herself. Alright?” Seulgi stood up from her seat and took the box of stuffs with her and went to her room.

On the other hand, Joohyun arrived at a luxury apartment walking distance from Seoul University. She asked her driver to wait for her and made her way to the lobby. “Good morning.” She greeted the lady at the front desk.

“I am Bae Joohyun and I forgot my key card inside my apartment. Could I have a spare key of it?” Joohyun asked. The lady checked her room and it was indeed registered under her name. After showing some IDs she was able to get a key card and decline an offer to reset the finger print lock on her door.

Her driver met her at the front of the elevator handing a box of cookies to her. Reaching the floor of the apartment, she used the key card to open the doors and it opened without difficulty.

Lia jumped from her bed and run through the door, but her smile was washed away after learning it was Joohyun when she thought it was Yeji, her girlfriend.

“What’s with that grumpy face?” Joohyun asked her sister causually. Lia rolled her eyes and walk towards her room. “Yah chamkaman, arent you suppose to greet me?”

She frowned and express how she’s not pleased to see her. “Annyeong unnie.” And she turned her back again.

“Yah could you please sit down for a minute.” Joohyun asked. “I was just discharged at the hospital and I am here to ask you why you never even bothered to visit?”

Lia sighed. She hated it when her sister tries to get close to her. “You have a lot of bodyguards there and besides, Suho Oppa is there to take care of you.”

“Lia have you forgotten that I am your sister?” Joohyun frustratedly asked.

And when she elevated her voice like that. Lia couldn’t help but to feel annoy as well. “Why don’t you ask that to yourself?” She stood up from her chair and marched to her bedroom locking the doors to prevent Joohyun to come inside.

“Yah Lia!” Joohyun followed her and knock on the door repeatedly but Lia wear her headphones to ignore her noise.

Back then, Joohyun and Lia are really close sisters. Lia has been idolizing her older sister ever since they’re young. When they grew up they spend a lot of time together. Going shopping, eating in a restaurant, going overseas for vacation and so much more. Until Joohyun decided to get married, she started going with Suho’s schedule which she didn’t notice in the long run that she already set aside her sister unintentionally.

As the eldest child of their parents, Suho and Joohyun live in their house which made Lia very uncomfortable and suffocated. She hated the fact that Suho rules more than her and her sister at home. Ever since before her sister got married she never had a good relationship with Suho and that’s how she decided to live alone.

At first, Joohyun was against it. She’s just a freshmen in college but Suho insisted that if Lia wanted to leave then she should. Joohyun and Lia’s parents are a real business minded. They never get in between their family issues and knowing that they’re already at the right age, they should be fixing everything on their own.

The doorbell rings and that made Joohyun stopped from knocking on Lia’s bedroom. She checked the monitor and was surprised to see Suho. She opened the doors for him and Suho was surprise to see her as well, but he managed to greet her with a kiss on her cheek. “Where’s your sister?” he asked.

“She’s taking a rest in her room.” Joohyun said, but Suho walk towards her room slamming the hell put of her door which Joohyun tried to calm him down.

The vibration of the door irritated Lia so she took off the headphone and forcefully opened her door. She couldn’t help but to express disgust as soon as she see Suho. “Get out of your room. Now.” Suho said.

Lia marched to the dining area and took a sit. Suho took the chair opposite to her and Joohyun opened her fridge to get some canned juice for them. She tried to uplift the mood by unboxing the cookies that she brought but Suho and Lia’s eyes are sharply gazing to each other.

“Is spending money is a joke to you?” Suho asked her.

“No.”

“Really? Then how could you spend over a hundred thousand of dollars this year?” Suho asked her. “$20,000 for askateboard, $5,000 for a PS4 and a gaming consoles, $10,000 for branded stuffs and more.” Suho took a sip of the juice “and lately you just bought a $50,000 BMW Big bike?”

“So what is it to you? If you’re here to complain about my expenses then stop working in our company if you think I am wasting our money.” Lia rudely said.

“Lia! You’re being disrespectful.” Joohyun told her. Ever since they’re young neither the two of them are being scolded for the things that they spend. Joohyun felt half hearted with the situation. She thought Lia doesn’t deserve to be scolded but her expenses are really unreasonable.

“I am not complaining about your expenses but these are merely unreasonable.” Suho told her. “Lia, you’re still a student and you should spend everything wisely. You should know the value of every cents that you have.”

“Well I apologized that you came from a middle class family, that you have to wait for your paycheck to eat a $5,000 sushi meal.” Lia said. “I was born and raise not to calculate what I spent and you have to deal with it.”

“Lia!” Joohyun exclaimed. “Can’t you see that Suho is just trying to be concern on you? Why you have to be that rude?”

“Because you guys are rude as well to me. Don’t try to tell me what should I do. I never get into your business and so don’t barge in mine.” Lia said “and please stop trespassing in my apartment.”

“I’m trying to be patient and understand your attitude but you are getting disrespectful and rude everyday!”

“Get lost.” Lia said and stood up from her chair.

Joohyun blocked her way and slapped her hard. It was the first time that she hurt Lia that way and what Lia hated the most was it happened because Suho manipulated the situation. Instead of getting in between the tension, Suho decided to stand up and walk out from Lia’s apartment.

Lia and Joohyun’s eyes met. Both are teary, Joohyun’s eyes are sorry while Lia’s eye are outraged. Even if she hated her older sister so much, her respect to her still remains. “Lia mian…” but before she could completely apologized, Lia already rushed to her room slamming the doors and locked it.

On their way back to their family’s mansion, Suho noticed that Joohyun is still bothered with the incident that happened back in Lia’s apartment. He held her hand trying to ease whatever she’s feeling. “Stop feeling bad about it. Lia is still a teenager and that happens most of the time. If you cant verbally convince her you must physically convince her.”

Pinching her lower lip as her habit when she’s uneasy. She’s still troubled with what happened. She pulled out her phone and tried to call Lia and after several attempts of ignoring her phone call, she could no longer contact her which means that Lia blocked her older sister in her contacts.

Reaching the mansion, the two went straight to their bedroom and Suho isn’t the type of husband who comfort his wife too much. He lacks care and affection which Joohyun never noticed since Suho is her pnly boyfriend until they got married. Joohyun never seek for his attention a lot that it seemed like she get used to not making love all the time, holding hands is enough and a peck for a kiss is alright as well.

It’s been a year when they got married and Suho still couldn’t get along with Joohyun’s sister and older brother and its because he never tried. He would only casually make a conversation with his brother on law if its business related but their relationship doesn’t get any further than that.

Joohyun gave up on calling Lia through her phone and decided to call her older brother Donghae. “Oppa, could you check on Lia for now? We had an argument.”

“Again?”

“Yes, but today was too much.” Joohyun said.

“Why don’t you check on her by yourself? Try to have a sleepover and share a bed with your sister.” Donghae suggested.

“Come on Oppa, you know that I am already married and right now I am still trying to make it up to Lia.” Joohyun said. “And besides as soon as I got there, she would really make me feel unwelcome, she locks her door and leave me alone in the kicthen.”

“Fine. I’ll go to her apartment as soon as I finish my meeting for today.”

“Gumawoyeo.”

Joohyun went to her indoor closet and found Suho checking her new pair of Louis Vuitton sandals. “Uhmm.. that looks good isn’t it?” Joohyun said as she cling to her husband’s arm.

“A new pair of sandals again?” Suho complained. “Joohyun we already talked about this. You’re spending too much money on your clothes and shoes. That’s irrational.”

“Please don’t be like that, this is a gift for myself after learning that our charity and foundations are doing well for this year.” Joohyun convince her. It’s the pair of sandals that she failed to keep from her husband and whenever that happens, they would be in a serious argument.

“Right, we’ve been spending too much on our charities and foundations.” He said placing back the pair of sandals inside Joohyun’s closet. “We’re feeding children and elderlies that not our responsibility and yet to reward yourself you bought yourself a pair of sandals.”

Joohyun sighed. She badly wanted to brag that she also bought a belt for Suho but she knew that it will just aggravate the argument so she remained silent. “I am sorry. I promise that I wont impulsively but such things again.”

“I’ll be making my way back to the company.” Suho said and gave a forehead kiss to Joohyun. “You just discharged from the hospital so please take some rest.”

“Yah pali, kiss it more, it still hurts so bad.” Lia complained to her girlfriend that she meet in a private room at a japanese restaurant.

Yeji laughed between her smooches “I’ve been kissing you for so many times. You just badly wnted my lips on your cheek.”

Lia nods and smile. The incident that happened back in her apartment was too much for her to handle and that’s why she needs Yeji’s presence to wash away all the tension that she’s feeling.

“But what happened? Why did your sister ended up slapping you?” Yeji asked her girlfriend.

Munching the sushi that Yeji placed on her plate. “Well I cant help but to feel disrespectful towards her husband.” Lia admitted. “He’s scolding me for spending too much and I hate it.”

“Was he complaining about my stuffs?” Yeji frowned.

“Ah jaebal…” Lia said as soon as she saw the frown on Yeji’s face. “It doesn’t matter. Don’t feel bad about it alright?” She put her thumbs at the corner of Yeji’s lips and passively made her smile. “There’s nothing to worry about. Honestly, he’s just being like that because he’s always been tight. If only my sister didn’t marry him he wont be the director of our company.”

“Baby, maybe its for you to get along with him.” Yeji suggested. “I mean, no matter what you do, he’s already one of the shareholder of your company..”

“That will never happen Babe.” Lia disagrees. “I can’t even stand staying with him in our home. He would wanted to have me and my sister to this and do that, attend an business opening event, make inspection in the factories and I don’t like that.”

“He just wants you to be productive.”

“Keep his productivity on his own. My parents and my older brother doesn’t even care with what I spend and there he is scolding me for no reason.” Lia said. “Too bad I am not like my sister who’s like a shadow and a tail of her husband.”

And since Yeji could see that it will be very impossible to convince Lia, she decided to switch the topic about her older sister. “By the way we can no longer spend home dates at our house.”

“But why?” Lia frowned.

“Well, my sister quit her job and that means she’ll be staying at home for a while.”

“Oh so, she’s not in Russia anymore?” Lia frowned once again.

Yeji nods. “She’s no longer a flight attendant and that means we can no longer spend the night together since she’s around.”

“Andwee…” Lia drop her chopsticks as she frowned.

Yeji laughed at her. “But she allowed me to have a sleep over in your apartment.” She said as she show her travel bag to Lia.

Seulgi was busy spending her time munching some apples while browsing the internet on her laptop. Scrolling some job vacancy that could possibly fit her skill. Until her doorbell rings and it interrupt her from her task.

Opening her door, an uninvited guest that she would at least the last person she wishes to see. It is Joy, her ex girlfriend. Standing in front of her with a bag of kimchi with her. She pushed her door but before she could completely closed it, Joy placed her hands in between.

“Hi.” Joy greeted her. It pains her to realize that she’s no longer welcome to her favorite place.

“Joy, what are you doing here?” Seulgi asked.

“I just came here to give this kimchi.” She said. Seulgi politely accepted it avoiding her eyes.

“I hope this will be the last time that you’ll be visiting me.” Seulgi coldly said and she walk to their fridge as she place the kimchi inside.

Joy gave her a tight back hug as she cries. “Just for this once.” She said when Seulgi tried to detach her hands locked around her tummy.

“What would you tell your child if she founds out that you’re here?” Seulgi asked.

“I don’t know. But I badly wanted to see you everyday.” Joy said.

“Joy! You’re so selfish!” She detached her arms. “You asked me to keep our relationship secret because I thought that you’re uncomfortable letting anyone know that you fell in love with someone of your same gender!” She yelled at her. “But I was wrong.” A tear fell down from their eyes. “It crashed my heart to pieces after learning that you’re already engaged for a long time.”

“There’s nothing I can do!” Joy said. “I can’t disobey my parents and its completely a fixed marriage.” She cried. “Seulgi, please stay with me.”

Seulgi shake her head. “No, I don’t want someone who can fight for me and stand for me.” Seulgi said. “Congratulations to you and your husband. I wish your child will grow up well and healthy.”

Seulgi walked away from her and went inside her room. She hate to spend the night crying but she cant help it. Her tears just voluntarily fall from her eyes. Her relationship with Joy is complicated, they met in a bar where Seulgi had her first mission as an agent. She almost messed up after keeping her eyes more to Joy rather than her target.
Apparently, her target started to stick around with Joy to the point that she really gets uncomfortable. Knowing that she already chug few beers, she might end up in a hotel room with Seulgi’s target and without her colleagues signal, she jumped on her target and found traces where drugs are placed in that club.

“I haven’t thank you for saving me.” Joy said as she rush to Seulgi as soon as she was clear of charges by the police inside the club.

Seulgi smiled. “Well a bowl of ramen will be very much appreciated.”

More than her looks and y tight dress, Seulgi realized that she and Joy could easily get along. The midnight is too short for them to spend and so she waited until Joy could find a cab to take her home.

“Actually, I live nearby.” Seulgi said. “We welcome guests in our home.”

Seulgi is well a dedicated secret agent that she would spend most of the days of the months overseas for her mission. She would secretly just meet Joy at least twice a week and that failed her to do a background check on her.

On their supposed to be first anniversary, Joy arrived late on their dinner, wearing a frown on her face. Seulgi knew that there’s something wrong, but Joy insisted to have dinner first before they could talk about it.

“I am pregnant.” Joy confessed and tears fell down from her eyes.

Seulgi heard it definite and clear. A tear fell down from her eyes as well, and she couldn’t even find any words to say. While she was away, this isn’t something that she’s expecting.

“Seulgi… I am getting married.” She pursed her lips. “Miane.. I am already engaged even before we met.”

“What? Then why didn’t you tell me?” Seulgi asked.

“Seulgi, I love you… I love you more than him.” Joy said. “But it’s a mutual agreement between our parents.”

Seulgi smiled while tearing up. “What are you a six year old kid? You leg your parents decide for you?”

“There’s nothing I can do.” Joy said, “maybe you don’t understand because you don’t have your parents with you.” She harshly said

“You know, you could just say that, apologize and leave. You don’t have to say it to my face that no one was there to raise me.” Seulgi stood up. She was hurt and insulted, grabbing her coat, Joy kneeled down and hugged her lower limbs.

“Please don’t break up with me.” Joy begged. “We can still meet right? Secretly just like what we do.”

“No….” Seulgi said and left Joy in the restaurant,

Every detail of that memories still haunts her as if its still fresh and new. “Ah jinja… good thing I allowed Yeji to leave the house for tonight.” Seulgi always show a strong and confident image to her younger sister. So that she wouldn’t feel bad that they do not have parents and somehow, Yeji was able to grow up as independent just like how Seulgi wanted her to be.

The next morning, Seulgi’s sleep was interrupted by a phone call. She realized that she fell asleep for too much crying. Extending her arm to reach the phone on the floor, she managed to accept the call even if her both eyes are shut.

“Yoboseyo..?” She said as she stretch her body.

“Hi this is Seoul’s security agency, we called to inform you that we’re inviting you for an interview later this afternoon.” After the call was dropped, Seulgi recalled that she sent a resume to that agency prior to Joy’s arrival last night.

Later that afternoon, Seulgi arrived at the agency and a lot of female applicants filled the room as they wait their names to be called. After waiting for a couple of hours, Seulgi was called for the interview.

“No experience and training at all…” the HR said while reviewing her resume. “What made you want to join our agency?”

Unfortunately, being a secret agent means she has to keep it a secret for the rest of her life. She had all her expertise and training under the South Korea Hidden Task force and that means she cant put that on her resume as her credentials. “Well I’m a woman who’s up for adventures and I’m a risk taker. I love danger and I am quite excited to face challenges.”

“Interesting. Among the applicants you’re the only one who answer that way.” The HR said. “Apparently we’re looking for someone with experience but I can see that you’re quite dedicated.” The HR stamped on her resume and gave it back to her. “We will email your destination for your training tomorrow.”

“Training?”

“Ms. Kang you cant just be a body guard without any experience and expertise.” The HR said.

The next morning, Seulgi arrived at the training camp where she greeted a lot of beginner female applicants who passed the interview yesterday. Unfortunately, their trainers are males who loves to make fun of new applicants that would wanted them to quit.

“We’ll have 5 stations for today. Endurance, speed, strength, hand skills and mental skill. I need you to line up and do a 500m military crawl on the mud.” The trainer said. “This isn’t about gender, once you’re at the field you have to be holistically prepared.”

The trainer blew the whistle and with their surprise, Seulgi did her military crawls without difficulty, as if she’s at ease and the mud doesn’t even comes to her face. The trainer keeps on eye on her until she reached the finish line. It took half an hour for another applicants to reach the finish line and compared to Seulgi, they’re badly panting as if they’re going to lose their breath.

“Excellent applicant 11.” The trainer praised Seulgi.

The next training is for their speed. Among the applicants that made it from the endurance test, they will be battling for the finish line of a 10km run and when the gun fires, the applicants started to run while Seulgi started to jog.

After an hour, Seulgi run as fast as she could that she passed by the applicants that were too far from her from the beginning, some tried to run after her but they’re too tired and Seulgi seems just like warming up and because of that Seulgi was the first to reach the end.

“This isnt just a speed test but also an endurance as well. Always remember to save your energy if yourequired to run for a long distance.” The trainer said and nod at Seulgi.

The training passed by for a month and since Seulgi did well in most of the training which the trainers couldn’t deny that she’s more skilled than them, she’s already given an assignment.

Twisting her office chair the head female security of the agency asked Seulgi to take her seat after she was greeted with a bow. Flipping the remote, Sooyoung her wide monitor and a photo of the Velvet group’s CEO’s second child appeared. “This is Bae Joohyun.” She informed her and pursed her lips and with a heavy heart she admit “a lot of security agency had been failing to protect her and that includes us.” She folded her arms and failed to look at Seulgi’s eyes. “She’s too lucky that she’s still alive up until now.” She sighs and managed to sway her hair. “Anyway here’s her information.” She handed a folder regarding Joohyun. “

Seulgi managed to have a quick detailed browse on her files. “She seemed to be someone expensive. Is this the reason why she’s glued to danger?”

Sooyoung nods. “Apparently, all cases under the complaints she filed were trashed due to either lack of evidences or the suspects and possible witnesses are killed.”

“So no one ever traced who could be the culprit?” Seulgi asked.

Sooyoung nods. “But there’s one thing that is clear. There are multiple people behind this.”

“And how is that clear?”

“She’s a daughter of the richest family here in South Korea.” Sooyoung informed her as if it wasn’t written in the folder that she gave. “I’m sure whoever earned that six zero digits in dollars are automatically the eye of The predators.”

“That seemed not a clear and concrete reason for a life to take.” Seulgi muttered.

“Why? What are you? A police? Detective?” Sooyoung asked since she’s already asking too much questions.”anyway you are being funded well, so no day offs and vacations must be applied 2 months before the target date, good luck.”

Pulling her earpods from her bag she placed them in her ear to keep her focus with the information that she has to know about her knew boss. Nothing new and nothing special, the feeling isn’t thrilling at all it’s just that a pale, pretty and attractive woman’s picture on the document as if staring at her made her keep looking forward on what may happen on the new chapter of her life.

Chapter 4: Lia is a brat. Don’t like her here. Anyway, Seulgi should’ve cut her some slack. Knowing how dangerous their life are, Joohyun even needing a personal bodyguard, and how innocent she is, it’s very fair that she’s hostile towards Yeji during that meeting. 🤷‍♀️ Lia has no excuses.

Oh wow the end got really intense there. I think you rushed the ending a bit. It could have ended without the whole deal with Taeny or if you wanted to include that, a few more chapters to develop the plot and then bring about the resolution would have been great. Regardless, I did enjoy reading the fic so thanks for writing it!
