After her Mother's promotion, Jieun's family moves into The Town - a private upper-class luxury neighborhood for the wealthy and the elite live. As Jieun struggles to adapt to her sudden rise in status, she notices that there is something strang about everyone in this town. Every woman and child in this town seems like a stepford wife, and every young person seems like a robot. It is just so strange and Jieun has her doubts, but there was no way that what she is thinking could be true.

Lee Jieun (18)
     An ordinary high school student who lived her entire life in a middle-class neighborhood, attending a middle-class high school and making middle-class friends. Everything about her life was middle-class and that was the only world she knew, until she moved into The Town where she realizes that there is more than just the middle-class life.

Kim Taehyung (18)
     A resident of The Town, and the youngest child of his family. Having moved into the town when he was 10 years old, his everyday life consists of going to school and back home. He never fit in with the kids in The Town as every kid that he made friends with in this town conformed in a strange way that almost made them inhuman. It was 8 years that he survived in this town, isolated.

Cha Eun-Woo (18)
     A resident of The Town, and often called the Model Child of the town. With a father who is a brain surgeon and a mother who is a lawyer, he has grown up from a strict household abiding to every rule set by his parents and the town. These rules and regulations have made him the most handsome, smart, polite, and athletic; he's the full package. He's so perfect that it looks almost strange- a true human couldn't possibly follow all those rules and live like a normal human being. 

Jennie Kim (18)
     A new resident of The town who moved in a few months earlier than Jieun. Her father left her when she was 7 after years of alcohol addiction. Growing up under a single mother, her life has not been smooth. After her mother landed the Chief position at an abortion clinic at The Town, she follows her mother to the new neighborhood and experiences the strange neighborhood where everyone is identical to each other. 

Lee Yoo-Ri (45)
     The Mayor of The Town and the town's brainficial cheerleader. A Professional businesswoman and a genetic engineer who once made it on the Forbes Korea front page as the most successful female of the year, she created The Town for upper-class people in South Korea. As the one holding the ultimate power over the town, there are certain secrets that she is keeping locked up behind the bars.
