Foreword

Trees fly away behind me like memories in my head . I remember some of their forms, one, a cherry tree was slightly bent over the road as if it was leaning to look at the foreign car better, another was straight and so tall, which made me chuckle, those non-ending and uneven rows of trees looked like green hues of misshapen memories when I didn’t concentrate on recognizing one peculiar tree. All of it reminds me what my parents told me some weeks ago: “some distance will help you, if you concentrate on other things, you’ll forget it.”

(...)

I walk and walk in a straight line until I find myself in front of barbed wire, it must be the limit of our land. Determined to follow my path, I walk over it to a field zone, the field at the right side is occupied by black sheep, and at the other side of that field is a dark forest that climbs and covers a hill. I decide to go to that hill before turning back home; something in me pulls me towards that place, probably curiosity. Even if the little sheep seem adorable, I try not to get distracted by them, “I will visit them another time” I reason out while I walk around the field, keeping my eyes fixed on my objective as if it would disappear if I blink.
