She kept on running.

Her heartbeat drowning out the hurtful comments of the group of students chasing after her. With only one thought circling her mind, she desperately tried to find the answer to it.

How can I escape?

Haven’t been teased or threatened for so long, she had hoped that these people had forgotten her. Being forgotten by them was much better than being hated. They thought of her as a dirty vampire, her mother according to them was a human and her father had apparently married her mother for he couldn’t help and feel bad for that desperate creature.
