Soyeon helped Soojin lower Moonbyul onto the straw mattress in the spare tent General Cheetah’s men had erected for their party. Once they had Moonbyul stretched out, Soyeon sprung up and walked over to help Krystal with Amber. Minnie and Miyeon stood guard at the entrance while Yuqi and Shuhua busied themselves with putting together a meal for everyone. Soojin turned around and knelt, anxiously peering at Moonbyul’s ashen face.

“There, do you feel all right?” Soojin asked worriedly as she surveyed Moonbyul’s still bleeding wounds.

“Yes, this is quite comfortable, thank you,” Moonbyul managed to say between gritted teeth, a sheen of sweat covering her pale face.

Soojin picked up a clean cloth from the medicine cabinet General Cheetah had brought over, wet it in the basin of stream water, and started dabbing Moonbyul’s forehead. Anyone could see that Moonbyul’s condition was rapidly deteriorating. And Soojin didn’t believe for a second that Moonbyul found the scratchy, bumpy mattress comfortable, but it had to be better than the hard ground.

“You’re babying me.” Moonbyul’s eyes didn’t leave Soojin’s as she continued to wipe the sweat off of Moonbyul’s face.

Soojin blinked.

“I owe you.”

Moonbyul gave Soojin a slight grin.

“No, owing me is bringing me here and having Neverland’s healers tend to me. You’re taking care of me,” she said, a smirk evident in her voice.

Soojin pressed a little harder than necessary at a cut on Moonbyul’s forehead and Moonbyul screwed up her eyes. But she didn’t give Soojin the satisfaction of knowing that she hurt her by staying silent.

“Look, I wouldn’t mind this. Except for the fact that the future Queen of Neverland might have me beheaded if you don’t stop,” Moonbyul remarked pointedly, eyes fixed on someone behind Soojin.

Soojin twisted her body around and spied Shuhua glaring at her from the far corner of the tent. The princess had her hands balled into fists and even from this distance Soojin could feel the meaning behind the expression ‘glaring daggers at someone.’ She sighed and turned back to Moonbyul who cocked an eyebrow at her.

“Don’t mind her—she’s just—that’s just how she normally is,” Soojin qualified, continuing to pat Moonbyul’s face. “She’ll go away eventually.”

“I think she’s coming here,” Moonbyul observed in a dry voice halfway between amusement and trepidation.

Sure enough, the stomping of Shuhua’s leather boots drew Soojin’s attention away from Moonbyul, especially when she felt a

Chapter 33: minnie and yuqi getting married
BEAR-BAECHU #8
Chapter 32: I think it's a good idea to have Shuhua get married to the King of Neverland as it can progress the story more. Since they are both the same of age and has the same position of ruling, I think if we have a back story of how the King is, we can see that he isn't truly passionate about ruling as he wanted to live his life more freely and out of demand. To that, he would let Shuhua have her own freedom too and so he surrenders, but before all of that, the passion for his freedom wasn't spoken between Shuhua and him. Making Shuhua think he's greedy for wealth and authority, causing conflict between him and Shuhua. As for Soojin, she couldn't witness the sight of Shuhua with a man on their wedding and so she leaves halfway. with that, Shuhua on her wedding night cried and thought she lost Soojin, causing her to spill her thoughts to the King making him feel guilt as he thought he's holding her back from living freely. The night of their wedding ended up with them talking about the misfortunes of their life. That's all I thought about! Thank you so much Author for providing us such a good story, hope you are doing well and recovering, get well soon! :D <3
