Lemonade

Description

“The more you love, the more you suffer”

Vincent van Gogh

Go Haera doesn’t believe in love anymore until she met Han Sejoon.

There’s nothing wrong with falling for someone you get used to, right?

Do you ever feel like you’re grateful to have someone in your life? Someone you never think you could end up with? Someone you never thought exist in this world?

I do.

And it’s like the most magical feeling in this world.

To see him smile, caught each other’s eyes and giggled for no reason. Sniffing his clean scent, closed my eyes and let me fell asleep to his warm sweater. To give him a back hug or being hugged back by him.

To be awake and see him next to me, cuddle me in his arms, pushing me to his chest so we could stay longer in bed on Sunday.

To argue, scream to one another, cried, but ended up together again.

Is this love?

Maybe.

Because I couldn’t imagine not having him in my life.

That’s what love supposed to mean, right?

 Or not?

For now, I want him and him only, so I move closer to his chest, join him to the dreamland.

Because he’s a dream I never want to wake up from.

Foreword

She was unsure of her steps; of where to go… for so many times.

She’s always tangled, to move forward or to stay in the past. And she’s always have no answer for the question whether she already moved on or not. She could lie to everyone, but never to him. He reads her, like an open book.

Biting her lower lips, Haera closed her eyes. She shook her head softly, refused to listen to the worst imagination she had in her head. She used to have this battle every night before sleep, to play pretend. So many times, she played different scenarios.

‘What if’ is the scariest question that ever pop up in someone’s mind.

‘What if’ makes her wondered things that probably will never happen in real life.

‘What if’ costs her sanity, when everyone keeps telling her to wake up.

Never in her life she imagined the situation she’s trapped in. Because it’s impossible; but then it happened. And storm came to her once peaceful life, to shake things up, making her life upside down.

She wanted to puke so bad. She couldn’t breathe, she couldn’t think what to do.

She held her phone tightly, wishing it would ring and she could answer to him. Or not? Was she ready to talk to him? Then what’s the point of her waiting him to call her if she’s not ready?

She shut her eyes, wishing silence will help her think.

Then her phone rang.

“Where are you? He’s leaving, Haera!”

Silent.

“Haera?”

She looked up to the sky, tonight there’s no star there. It’s dark, just like her heart.

She didn’t care anymore of the sweat running in her neck, of her trembling hands, of tears that kept running on its own. If it’s going to be the end, then she wanted to put all the best she could.

She knew where to go.
