Hyukjae's POV

I smiled as Hae dropped me off at the Hospital. I sighed as I was about to enter when a man in his late 50's grabbed my hand,

"No one is safe! We're all gonna die! It's His plan!" He screamed at me as he coughed violently before dropping into seizure. My eyes widened as I began checking his eyes, 

"Call a nurse! And get me a bed now!" I shouted as I saw the ambulance driver, he nodded and hurried out. Damn it, I'm not wearing any PPE. 

They rolled the man into the ER as I got disinfected by the smog machine. I wore ky PPE fast and began taking out a sample of his cheek cells for swab test. 

"Doc his BP is falling! So is his pulse!" The nurse said, 

"Get me a Defribrillator! Now!"

They wheeled in the defrib,

"Charge it to 100! Clear!"

• No response •

"Charge it to 150! Clear!"

• no response •

I put the debrib down as I began to pump his chest, "come on sir. We need you alive."

"Charge it again to 200! Clear!"

Still no response. The flat line gave a dull sound. And I felt my heart break. Another one this month.

"Time of death, 2:23 pm." I said, looking at my watch. I felt a clamp on my shoulder. I looked to see Sungmin.

"Come on, let's get some water."

I sighed. "Please fill me in on the results of his swab test. Give him to the SIPD for PUI." 

The nurse nodded.

Me and Sungmin head out as I sightly sat down at the sofa of the Nurse's station.

He handed me a cup,

"You did what you can, Hyuk."

I nodded, "I know, Min... It's just... It's like Doctors can't even save lives right now... 13 years of med school and we've lost almost thousands of life." I muttered,finally feeling my sadness.

"It's not your fault. You know what's happening right now right? It's pandemic, Hyuk. It's not just here in Korea. It's all over the world." Sungmin consoled me, rubbing my back.

I broke out into a sob. I couldn't help it. It was like this virus was built or modified to killed. Like someone wanted to wipe the world of Humans. 

"Do you want me to call, Donghae?"

I shook my head, "He's probably busy right now. There are additional PUIs so he'll probably be on site in checkpoints."

Sungmin nodded, "the man got near you right? Please tell me you got disinfected?" He asked worriedly.

"I did. Don't worry. I'm a doctor, Min. I don't catch things easily." 

Sungmin frowned. 

"Hyuk. I'm not kidding. Please take extra precaution. Just because you're a Doctor doesn't mean you're immune."

"You know what? this. Go home, I'm calling Donghae." 

Before I could protest Sungmin went out of the station and began calling Hae.

- Donghae's POV -

Another paper was submitted by SIH as a PUI. His identity was still being pointed out since it seemed like he was a street beggar.

My phone rang and I saw that it was Sungmin calling me. 

"Yobeoseyo?"

"Donghae-ssi?"

"Ah yes, Sungmin-ssi. What can I do for you?"

"Can you come pick Hyuk up at the hospital?"

I stood up, startled,

"What's wrong with Hyukkie? Did something go wrong?!" I asked worriedly grabbing my keys.

I opened the door to my office and told the officers that I'll be heading to the hospital.

"I don't think he's mentally okay right now." I heard Sungmin and door opening,"hyuk it's Donghae."

I heard some shuffle and soft sniff.

"H-hae? I wanna g-go home. Can y-you come pick m-me up please?" My baby said in between soft sobs.

I got into the car and put my phone on the hands free pan
