Seulgi couldn’t help but tear up over her phone screen as soon as she answered Haechan’s video call. She didn’t think of the fact that she might look unpleasant with her scrunched, tear-streak face but Haechan couldn’t help but chuckle at her face.

 

“Aww, come on baby, stop crying.” As much as Haechan wanted to wipe her tears himself and wrap Seulgi in his arms, he couldn’t.

 

“And I’m really sorry I’m not there with you to spend your special day and celebrate. If only I could fly back there with you, I will.”

 

Seulgi tears are now nonstop, as the fact that NCT Dream is on Ridin’ Asir tour in Indonesia and Seulgi have yet physically seen Haechan in three weeks already. She missed the boy’s scent, his warm hugs and delicate kisses on her, everything that is him.

 

“It’s alright, Hyuck ah, I understand.” Seulgi reached for the stuffed penguin which Haechan gave her prior to his departure, which he told you to cuddle with in place of him for the tour.

 

“Noot Noot’s here to accompany me, so I’m good.” Seulgi raised the penguin over the camera and cuddled with it.

 

She saw the infamous pout on her boyfriend’s face upon cuddling the stuffed penguin in your arms, “What’s with the face?” Seulgi laughed.

“I just wish I was that penguin you’re cuddling with,” Seulgi laugh grew louder that she had to stuff her face on the penguin. She missed the way Haechan smiled in relief once he saw her smiling face.

 

“Are you seriously jealous over the stuffed penguin you gave me?” Seulgi teased, pressing kisses on the stuffed animal, yet imagining it was his face instead.

 

“I just miss your hugs and omona, stop kissing the penguin.” His pout was now more evident that Seulgi cannot help but burst out in laughter.

 

“Are you really my gwiyodungi, chan chan haechanniee? Give him back to me!”

 

“I’m only like this because it’s your birthday and… I really, really miss you, Kang Seulgi.” Haechan’s face became serious, yet visible with longing. Seulgi couldn’t help but miss him more, too.

 

“Then get your back here, cuddle me and kiss me,” Seulgi joked with a hint of seriousness. As much as she wanted for that to happen, she knew it’s not possible.

 

Seulgi felt the tears welling up in her eyes again, the longing making a slight pinch in her heart, yet she mustered a loving smile on her face, “I’m just kidding, chan ah. You don’t have to worry about me, you wishing me first is enough. Thank you, baby. I love you so much.”

 

“I love you so much, too, Seulgi. I’m really lucky universe gave me you, and it should be thankful she has a wonderful human being like you.” A fond smile made its way on Haechan’s face that she couldn’t help but smile back.

 

“You’re really cheesy today, you know that?”

 

“Only for you.”

 

A series of faint yet loud cheers could be heard from inside Haechan’s hotel room, lots of whooping and cheering that she knew what happened, especially with the frowned, angered look Haechan managed on the screen. It must be Zhong Chenle and Na Jaemin making noises.

 

“I’m sorry but I have to cut our call for a while, Seulgi.”

 

“Please don’t kill them, chan ah!” Seulgi managed to laugh it off before Haechan turned off the call, a smile formed in her face as she slid her phone back on her bedside table and bury herself under the covers with Noot Noot in her arms. To start her birthday, she decided to sleep and gather energy first.

“We’re just kidding! Stop chasing me hyunggg!”

 

Haechan was still chasing Chenle as he was the one who led the teasing and cheering until Jaemin came to view.

 

“Haechan ah! Everything’s set!”

 

It was only then that Haechan stopped the chase and turned at his same age friend, “Gomawo Jaeminnie.” With tiredness and now nervousness sipping in his body, he sat on the couch tiredly.

 

“Do you think Seulgi will get mad at me?”

 

 

“Not at all! I believe she’ll be really surprised!”

 

 

“If anything, she’ll really cry out of joy!”

 

 

He glanced at the others, sending them a small smile, “Thanks, guys. I can’t wait to see her, though. Why did I plan this surprise anyway? It only prolonged the time I get to see her.”

 

 

“Wow Haechan ah, you’re really whipped for Seulgi noona.” Said Renjun.

 

“Oh shut up.” He felt his ears going red for mumbling his thoughts out loud, but before he drifted off to sleep, Haechan wishes he was right there beside Seulgi, but he hoped his surprise will be worth it.

Febuary 10^th

Waking up to a flood of messages from her friends and her family somehow ‘ambushed’ into her bedroom for a mini surprise is enough to put a smile on Seulgi’s face on her special day. It was a weekend, so she had all the time that she want to do on how to spend her birthday. Glad to see that Seulgi alright and cheerful now as compared to when she loss her baby. Haechan did managed to be her cheerleader whenever she is in need either through facetime or physically when he had the time.

Yet despite how Seulgi is really grateful for her family and friends to celebrate with her, something… rather someone, is missing. She can’t help but miss Haechan even more, especially when he still hasn’t called.

 

She kept glancing at her phone, and judging from the time zone of their last stop on tour, there’s only a 2-hour difference. “Maybe he’s just busy.”

 

Seulgi proceeded to eat her breakfast in silence when her phone lit up, and her boyfriend’s precious face appeared on the screen, instantly making Seulgi grin and answer the call.

 

 

“Hi baby, happy birthday. Are you happy?”

 

 

“Not as happy as when you’re here, Hyuckie.” Seulgi told him honestly, but quickly dismissing the diminishing happy atmosphere, “but Yes, I’m happy now that you called and I’m seeing you right now.”

 

 

Seulgi noticed Haechan was walking as the phone kept on bouncing, prompting her to ask him, “Are you outside? Are you busy?”

 

 

“Yes I’m outside but I’m not busy until later.” Haechan smiled on the video call, “I reserved this moment for you.”

 

 

“I swear, give me back my Lee Haechan.” Seulgi teased, and as she saw the tips of his ears go red and somehow lowering his phone to hide his face, making her laugh. “Now that’s my Lee Haechan.”

 

 

“Geumanhae eooo, Kang Seulgi neo jinjjaa. I swear.”

 

 

“Arasso Arasso.. I’ll stop.” Seulgi chuckled, and noticed Haechan is still walking and somehow, his other hand was struggling. Setting aside her finished plate of food, Seulgi walked upstairs to her bedroom.

 

“Where are you going, Hyuck ah? You know it’s cold outside these days.” Seulgi worry, seeing as the winds blow her boyfriend’s hair and messing it up.

 

“I’m going to see you, of course. Who else?”

Seulgi laughed yet seeing as how she is emotional today, add to the fact that she really misses him, Seulgi glared at him on the phone, “That’s not a nice joke, Mr. Lee. I already miss you so much, you know?”

 

“I’m not joking,” Haechan smiled fondly on the phone, “I’m really walking over to your house.”

 

 

“Oh shikereoo, you’re overseas, na araa,” Seulgi felt tears welling up in her eyes, the longing going stronger.

 

 

“Then please tell me whose house is this,” he turned around and Seulgi cannot believe her eyes when she saw her house’s front door and corridor, where Haechan really is right now.

 

 

It is until she heard the doorbell and the voice of her mother calling her about Haechan’s arrival that she quickly jumped out of her bed, hastily going downstairs that she saw Haechan by the living room talking to her mother, and when Seulgi eyes met his, so as her tears went streaming down her face.

 

 

“Come on, baby, stop crying.” Seulgi felt Haechan’s hands wiping away her tears and kissed her forehead and finally on her lips, “I’m finally here.”

“Since when did you come back?” Seulgi asked, sniffing as she immediately clung to his sweater, whilst Haechan pulling her in a hug.

 

“Two days ago.” Seulgi got surprised at his answer that Haechan thought she was angry so he immediately explained, “I’m sorry, the boys suggested surprising you while I can’t just wait to see you but they forced me and I really just escaped and went straight to your house today.”

 

Seulgi laughed, burying her face on his neck, “Aren’t they going to get mad?”                                     

 

“They have no reason to be, I should be the one mad at them for prolonging the time I get to hug you like this,” Seulgi couldn’t help but savour the moment and hugged him tighter, getting a whiff of his scent that she truly miss.

 

“I missed you so much....”

 

“I missed you too..” He pulled away slightly and cupped her face, his stare intense as if he’s memorizing every detail, his thumb softly caressing Seulgi’s cheeks.

 

 

“Happy birthday, baby.” He placed a quick peck on her lips, mindful that Seulgi’s parents are in the house but Seulgi pulled him down to kiss him a bit longer.

 

“I’m sorry I forgot to bring your gift since I just snuck out from those idiots but….“

 

“It’s okay, Hyuck ah. Just you being here and sneaking out for me is enough,” she pecked his lips once more. “Just cuddle and kiss me.”

 

They head upstairs and on Seulgi’s bedroom. Immediately chucking off his shoes, he pulled out the covers to bury themselves underneath, as Haechan, by instinct, immediately wrapped around Seulgi’s waist while her body found the warmth with her back against his chest.

 

Getting comfortable, he saw Noot Noot, the stuffed penguin by the headboard and sneakily tossed him at the side, which Seulgi managed to see.

 

 

“Why did you toss Noot Noot like that?”

 

 

“I’m already here, what do you need that penguin for anyway?”

 

 

“He’s fluffy, and he’s my company.”

 

 

“But I’m already here.”

 

 

“Still, Noot Noot is—“

 

 

“You want to cuddle Noot Noot instead of me?”

Seulgi turned around upon hearing the whiny tone in his Haechan’s voice, and his infamous pout she missed so much brought a grin on her face, reaching up slightly to kiss away his adorable pout.

 

“Nope, I’ve got the real thing and you’re the best.”

 

"Since i'm back why don't we ring up the HS127 squad for a Febuary babies birthday celebration? We have Youngho hyung, Jaehyun and Jungwoo Hyungs' birthday in Febuary. Wait shall we celebrate the other NCT members birthday as well. Doyoung and Ten Hyung's birthday are also in the same month.."

 

"Oooooo sounds found. But No drinks please. Youngwon eonnie is pregnant with triplets. We don't know any emergency first aid for pregnant women."
