As promised, Haerin now see Baekhyun’s soccer practice every time she feels like it or doesn’t have any urgent things to do after school. She diligently waits for her fake boyfriend from the start until he comes out from locker room. She admits that waiting for Baekhyun is way more entertaining than when she waited for Jingoo. Which, funnily, her fake boyfriend takes pride of.

“Only because I get to see you being tortured by your coach.”

And that completely wipes off Baekhyun’s arrogant smirk.

But one thing she doesn’t like with all this waiting is that she notices the others always finish up twenty minutes earlier than Baekhyun. He confesses that’s because he always takes ten to fifteen minutes hot shower after all the inhuman training his coach ordered, hence why he’s always the last to come out of the locker room. Which earns him an earful from Haerin how ridiculous he is making her waits that long. She wants to just go home by her own without waiting for him after all the other guys go home but Baekhyun doesn’t let her because it’s too late for a girl walk on her own at this late hour, making Haerin rolls her eyes. Baekhyun promises he’ll try taking his shower as quick as possible.

Though the best part of all of this is that Baekhyun never forces her to come see his practice all the time. On Wednesday, her dad comes home after being away for a while. Haerin asks for a permission to miss his practice for three days because that’s how long her dad will be at home and she wants to try to have father-daughter quality times. Baekhyun gives him a weird look, one end of his lips tugged in amusement because it’s no big deal for her to miss and she should accompany her old man while he’s home.

“Haerin, I told you, this isn’t mandatory girlfriend’s duty. You can see me when you want. You can to not see me when you don’t or have other things to do.”

Baekhyun is different from Jingoo, that’s for sure. When she was still dating him, Jingoo said she must accompany him at the library for his Olympiads preparation every time because that’s what all girlfriends should do. He won’t even let her go even if because her dad is home which always brings a headache to her because it usually ended up with her having a fight with either her parents or Jingoo.

After three days missing Baekhyun’s practice, today is the last day of practice because the match is tomorrow. Feeling grateful for him being so understanding, Haerin decides to visit him and even prepare a lunchbox this time. She arrives right in time Coach Park lets them go home and have full rest for the match. Baekhyun’s other teammates spots her first before he himself, starting teasing him non-stop and whining how jealous they are.
