Exit Wounds

Description

Jung TaekWoon is in his final year of university and the resident Mister Mysterious. His impeccable grades and delinquent temper plus his good looks make him a target for unrequited attention - which makes for a tiresome life, in his opinion. All he wanted to do was finish his medical degree in peace. Too bad for him, he is roped into becoming part of the welcoming committee which will be greeting the semester’s new students and helping them settle into campus life.

He’d been dreading the event for two weeks and just when he thought the farce couldn’t get any worse, he sees a phantom from his past in the crowd of newcomers. A person he never thought he’d see again - a childhood friend he parted ways with on harrowing terms, the seed of years worth of guilt and internal disquiet - was heading straight for him.

Too bad for TaekWoon that fate was just getting started on its co-plotting with the God of Misfortune as they conspire to ruin his simple annual objectives. His plan of studying, preparing for near non-existent sleep, looking for a work placement and trying to live up to his family’s tremendous expectations while avoiding the exponentiallty looming threat of arranged marriage was quickly becoming more of a last-ditch fantasy by the day. On top of his academic duties and issues stewing within his personal life, the rowdy girl he used to know is pretending like six years hadn’t passed, and that incident which shattered both of their lives never even happened.

TaekWoon wants anything but to drag up the past and involve himself with his childhood friend's wiley antics but when he sees a growing closeness between his her and his room-mate, emotions he’d thought superficial and juvenile sour his better judgement.
