It's tiring. Really. Wendy's been here for 2 hours, at the most secluded corner of some coffee shop waiting for Joohyun. She had made Joohyun agree to have this "meet up" with her last week and it took her a whole day to make her say yes. Joohyun refused to call it a date, though Wendy insisted it to be one.

I've been pursuing her for more than a year and this is the most the I get. Should I just end this madness? Irene may be a goddess in human skin and people kneel on the ground she walks, but it's not like I don't have my fair share of admirers here and there. That's it. I have decided. The moment I see her walking towards me, I will tell her—

"Wow." 

Joohyun was just wearing her usual white v-neck shirt and black pants with minimal make up but the woman has always looked good in her eyes. 

"What?"

"I mean, hi." Wendy chuckled uneasily as she took one chair opposite her for Joohyun to sit on. "What took you so long?" Joohyun stared at her for a while, not understanding the question. "I am on time, Wendy. Did you count every second for you to tell me I'm late?" Joohyun frowned. "No! Uh, no. I never told you you were late. I was just— you know what? Never mind. My watch must have the wrong time." 

Wendy was already scanning her menu while thinking that Joohyun must have ignored her last text informing her of their "meet up" time being moved to an earlier part of the day, when Joohyun interrupted her.

"Now, what's this meeting for?" Joohyun asked. "Well, I was hoping we could get to know each other better," Wendy answered. "I mean, I already know a lot about you but I figured I could still know you better and you need to know me better as well." 

Joohyun stared at Wendy for a while, eyes showing no emotions as she thought of what to say. "I still am not interested in you, Wendy. At least not in the way that you want me to. I told you a lot of times already." 

"But–"

"Besides, you know Bogum's also courting me."
