Willowbrook hosts an odd cast of characters. Naomi and four other teens with peculiar abilities and matriarch, Ama, at the center of it all. When Ama falls sick, she gives the teens instructions on how to help her. To do so, they must go on a journey a long way from home, into the spirit kingdom of Brae. Naomi and her found family must do something they’ve never done before: blend in. Somehow infiltrate the castle without having their souls exhumed and covet the ingredients necessary to bring Ama back from near death.

Royal Prince Hyungwon of Brae is expecting his soon-to-be bride from the north. A tragic accident is really a blessing in disguise. Royal Princess Naomi of Arthdal now has two missions: not to get caught and find the sacred smoke of spirits to save Ama.
