Minjoo nods, amazed; oblivious to the darkening expression of the older girl. “Yeah! How did you know?”

“As expected,” Kaeun snorts, crossing her arms. “It’s always Hitomi this, Hitomi that! Everything you do revolves around that girl! She doesn’t even like girls, Minjoo! Why do you choose her over your girlfriend?!”

“Look, Hitomi is hospitalized! As her bestfriend, I need to visit her!”

“Well then!” Kaeun harshly yanks her arm away. “Choose! Me or that breadfaced jigglypuff?!”

Now it’s Minjoo’s turn to get angry. She growls. She might not tower Kaeun in terms of height, but Minjoo looks intimidating, glowering like that.

“Don’t talk about Hitomi like that.”
