"Was." Dara corrected. "I was a doctor."

"You can still be," he said, running his fingers through his dark hair. "Look, you can work for us, and I'll pay triple the amount you were earning at that lousy hospital."

"Us?" Dara asked.

He grabbed her wrist and pulled her inwards. Her face is inches away from his chest. With his free hand, he was gently tucking her hair behind her ear. His breath tickled her ear as he whispered two words that sent shivers down her back.
