Author's Note: This is a story that I've wanted to publish for a while now but didn't. Two years ago, I had the privelege to fall in love with one of my closest friends whom I first met in college. It was a tumultous journey of realization (of my romantic feelings for a close friend whom I address as a sister to many), distancing (physically, because platonic intimacy gives you so much false hope; emotionally, because I love her) and finally acceptance (of my biuality, which was something that I've learned to accept with time and courage). Looking back, I'm proud of the footsteps I've left along the way.
