Before Wheein went home she went and picked up the ointment and bandages Byulyi recommended for her from the store. She decided to take a picture of it and send it to the doctor.

Wheein: got the ointment and bandages mom :P

Byulyi: good, now make sure to apply it properly

Wheein: don’t worry I will unnie

Byulyi: also good luck on your date tonight ;)

Wheein: thank you! bet you wish you were on a date with Hyejin

Byulyi: you’re right, want to give me her number??

Wheein: HA get it yourself

Byulyi: that’s mean whee :(

Wheein: fine, as a token of gratitude for being my doctor I guess I’ll give you her number

Byulyi: THANK YOU YOU’RE THE BEST!!!

The blonde laughed at her friend’s text and then sent her Hyejin’s number before heading back to the apartment.

When Wheein arrived home, she decided to try and find an outfit for her date tonight. Looking through her closet she couldn’t figure out what was appropriate or what was too much. She was grateful that Hyejin took her shopping because cargo pants and a camo shirt were definitely not the best for a date.

After almost an hour of trying to figure things out, she heard the apartment door open.

“Wheein? You here?” Hyejin called out.

“Yeah, can you come here? I need help!” Hyejin quickly came into the room and saw a bunch of clothes cluttering the floor and bed.

“Are you organizing your closet?” The brunette asked, picking up a camo shirt.

“I’m trying to figure out what to wear for my date tonight,” the blonde explained, taking the camo shirt from her friend’s hand and throwing it further into the closet. She let out a frustrated sigh and Hyejin just patted her back in support.

“Calm down, Wheein-ah. How about this, you go take a shower and cool down, while I find you an outfit,” Hyejin suggested and the soldier nodded in agreement.

While in the shower, Wheein tried to calm down a bit. Things were going so fast, Wheein hadn’t had the time to process anything, but after looking through her closet, the reality of everything just hit her. Her nerves were getting to her and she knew it was because she hadn’t been on a date in over 5 years. Even though she only knew the older woman for a couple of days, she didn’t want to mess anything up.

After calming down a bit, she left the shower and got the new ointment and bandage. When she left the bathroom, she found her friend sitting on her bed looking at her phone intensely.

“Um, Hyejinie?”  The brunette didn’t respond, so the blonde jumped on the bed, scaring her friend.

“GAH WHEEIN DON’T SCARE ME LIKE THAT,” Hyejin scolded the soldier and Wheein just laughed in response.

“You weren’t answering so I had to do something,” the blonde showed the bandages and ointment, “do you mind patching me up?”

Hyejin nodded and began placing the ointment and bandages on the rough skin. When she was done, the blonde placed the ointment and bandages on the bedside table and then faced her friend who still looked deep in thought.

“What’s wrong?” The soldier asked and Hyejin looked at her and sighed.

“Just didn’t think I’d be seeing my ex today.” Wheein chuckled at the response.

“That’s fair. Did she text you?” The blonde wondered peaking slightly at her friend’s phone.

“Yup. Thanks for giving her my number by the way,” the brunette said sarcastically giving Wheein a cold look.

“Oh shush, you’ll thank me later. Anyways did you find me an outfit?” Hyejin was looking at her phone texting and just gestured at the closet, not looking up. The soldier turned and notice a plaid grey suit with a blue shirt hanging on the closet door.

“Um, did I buy that?”

“Nope, it was in my closet, but it should fit you perfectly.” The brunette finally stopped texting and got off the bed and grabbed her friend’s hand. “You’re not gonna get changed yet, I’m going to do your makeup.” Wheein groaned in protest but let her friend drag her to the bathroom.

After an hour of holding down Wheein, some mistakes, and a lot of yelling, Hyejin finally got through Wheein’s makeup. Even though the look took a long time, it was simple. Looking in the mirror, Wheein had to admit it looked good, especially the lip and mascara.

“Alright, get changed, Yongsun unnie will be here in 30 minutes,” Hyejin stated handing Wheein the suit.

“Wait she’s coming here?” The blonde asked, confused.

“Yeah, she’s dropping off Sunhee so I can babysit her. Also, Byul unnie may or may not also be here soon,” the brunette rushed the last statement but Wheein was not able to question as she was being shoved into the bathroom to change.

After a couple of minutes, Wheein came out of the bathroom and Hyejin couldn’t help but do a double-take.

“Wow, Wheein-ah, you look so handsome,” Hyejin mused and got up to fix some things.

“You think Yongsun unnie will be impressed?” The soldier asked nervously.

“I think if she isn’t, then she’s blind.” Wheein chuckled at her friend’s words and felt her nerves start to dissipate.

The two started talking some more and Hyejin gave her some tips while Wheein told her not to do anything wild with Byulyi. The brunette just rolled her eyes at her friend but knew she was right.

About 15 minutes later, the doorbell rang.

Not sure who was behind the door, Wheein opened the door hesitantly. On the other side stood Yongsun in high-waisted red pants with a matching red crop top, almost resembling a jumpsuit. The older woman’s hair was down and slightly curled and she had dark eye makeup and very red lips. The surprised blonde stared at the lipstick and saw how it formed into a smirk.

“Hi, Wheein unnie!!!” The high pitched voice got the soldier’s attention and she looked down to find Sunhee cutely waving at her.

“Hello Sunhee,” the blonde responded and stepped to the side to let the mother and daughter in. When Yongsun passed Wheein she stopped and leaned in to whisper something in the soldier’s ear.

“You look very handsome.” The blonde’s eyes widened as Yongsun continued walking with a smirk on her face.

Hyejin witnessed the whole ordeal and almost burst into laughter at seeing her friend’s very red cheeks, but contained herself and greeted the two.

Wheein was about to close the door but a certain doctor stopped her. The dark-brown haired woman was out of her uniform and was now wearing sweatpants and an oversized hoodie with a baseball cap.

“Oh hey, Byul unnie,” Wheein greeted and let the woman in.

“Hey Whee,” she then turned to the brunette, “Hi Hyejinie,” the doctor said dreamily. It was now Hyejin’s turn to blush and for the blonde to try not to laugh.

Yongsun looked between the stranger and Hyejin and noticed a tension between them and looked at Wheein confused. The blonde just shook her head and signaled that she would tell her later.

The doctor finally registered that there were other people in the apartment and quickly started bowing.

“Hi, I’m Byulyi, I’m Hyejin’s ex,” Byulyi stated and Yongsun raised an eyebrow at the woman. “I’m also Wheein’s ex-crush,” the doctor added with a wink and the older woman’s jaw clenched.

“Unnie!” The blonde scolded and Byulyi just let out a chuckle. Yongsun was still silent and was now narrowing her eyes at the doctor. Wheein noticed her reaction and decided now was a good time to leave.

“Alright, well Yongsun unnie and I should go. You three behave.” The soldier took Yongsun’s hand and dragged her out of the apartment as the older woman waved goodbye to her daughter while also giving Byulyi a cold stare.

When they were out of the apartment, the blonde could still feel Yongsun’s tenseness and gave her hand a slight squeeze. The older woman snapped out of her jealousy and looked over at the younger woman.

“That was a long time ago. I don’t feel that way anymore,” Wheein reassured and Yongsun slightly relaxed at that. They continued to hold hands all the way to the garage, a slight smile on both of their faces.

They got into Yongsun’s car and the oldest drove them to a fancy sushi restaurant nearby. When they were in the car, they didn’t speak much but the atmosphere was comfortable.

They reached the restaurant and when they entered they were escorted to a private table on a balcony looking over Seoul. The view was stunning and Wheein looked over the city in amazement.

“Wow unnie, how did you get us this table?”

“I actually designed the owner’s house so I asked if they could do me a favor,” Yongsun explained and watched Wheein muse over the city. The older woman couldn’t help but think the blonde looked absolutely breathtaking. When the soldier turned around she noticed the other woman staring at her and smiled.

“The view is nice isn’t it?” Wheein teased.

“You have no idea,” Yongsun whispered and Wheein just smiled even more. The oldest gestured toward the table.

“Come on, let’s order. I’m starving.” Wheein nodded and they sat down. Yongsun ended up ordering quite a lot for them even though the blonde tried to stop her. After reassuring everything was okay, Wheein gave up and they began to chit chat.

“So what’s the story with Byulyi?” The oldest wondered.

“It’s a long story, but Hyejin and I met unnie our first year of high school and both fell for her. However, Byulyi unnie ended up falling for Hyejin and they started dating. Before the term ended, Byulyi unnie found out she was moving away to Jeju, so that summer, they did everything together, before they ended up parting and we hadn’t seen her since. Today, I went to urgent care and she was there and it was quite a shock for all of us. Anyways, it seems as thoug
