kim chaewon is that girl in high school that everyone likes and wants to be (admit it y’all wanna be kim chaewon too). she’s not only beautiful but kind and talented as well, her sense of humor is considered a plus too if you ask though scoring high in exams isn’t exactly her forte but hey, nobody is perfect right?

she would come to school wearing her brightest smile and greet everyone that comes along her way. she is one of the popular kids in high school, her and her friends. however one day during her senior year she stumbled upon a girl that soon made her lose her mind.

miyawaki sakura, a transferee from japan who quickly rose to fame for her looks and cool demeanor. unlike her, the cherry blossom seem cold and unapproachable, often coming to school with scratches on her face.

a troublemaker.

definitely not someone she would want to have an interaction with, at least that was until she found out that everyone and by everyone she means all her friends are somehow acquainted if not friends with the japanese, except for her.

“just come with us chaewon, we’re all going to be there i mean it’s not like kkura’s going to kidnap us and sell our organs like some bloody psychopath. you know you need help with math for goodness’s sake yujin did better than you last time! we’re talking about ahn yujin here!” yena grumbles trying to convince her friend to come with. chaewon, upon hearing this newfound information turned her head towards yujin with widened eyes and pointed an accusing finger at her.

“you?! what did you get?!” yujin wore a smug grin as she crosses her arms before responding to the fairy, and every word she utters were laced with immense pride.

“65 out of a hundred.” she then gave herself a pat and chaewon’s mouth was left hanging in a gape when she found out about this because that’s like half the score she got, and how is it that the younger suddenly got better than her.

“okay woah woah woah, you? better than me in math? i don’t believe you it’s either you’re lying or you cheated.” chaewon crossed her arms in great disbelief that she started accusing her friends without proof and so the two gasped.

“yah yah kim chaewon we’re not like that-“ the fairy tilted her head and scoffs at what yujin had said, even yena couldn’t help but laugh at this because they all know better. they’re no saints, desperate times call for desperate measures and when it comes to desperation and just like every other student they are very much so desperate to pass highschool.

“okay fine we do but not this time, we’re serious kkura unnie is very good with math even yena unnie is learning and she’s worse than me! oh and it’s way more fun learning from her than learning from mrs. park.” yujin says confidently, taking out her and yena’s exam papers so as to flaunt their scores and indeed they were telling the truth however chaewon still couldn’t believe her eyes, until now she still refuses to believe that the pair got a higher score than her.

yena upon hearing this, halted from laughing and started arguing with the younger about that matter. however, they then stopped their silly banters when all of a sudden a hoarse voice interrupted their fight.

“i think we can all agree that no one’s better at math between you and yena, ahn yujin.” that’s when sakura suddenly appeared from behind and joined the conversation, flicking the two’s foreheads afterwards and chaewon could only stare at her with widened eyes and hanging jaws. she was captivated by her beauty, i mean to be real who wouldn’t be captivated by her she’s like a living goddess (no cap).

“ahh yah!” eventually the trio started arguing and chaewon was left forgotten. soon the latter snapped out of her trance, turned her head towards the window and stared blankly outside, the voices of the three starts to fade away as she succumbed into her own thoughts.

she wonders, how on earth did her friends come to terms with the new student who seems so introverted, so unfriendly, and so unapproachable to begin with. chaewon could still remember meeting the cherry blossom for the very first time like it was just yesterday.

it happened during their first day of school, classes had just ended and she with her friends are planning on to hang out in a bowling alley to spend the rest of the day with everyone unanimously agreeing to the suggestion without complaints which is honestly one of the rarest times.

they were about to exit the school premises, all enthusiastic about their afternoon plan when all of a sudden chaewon came to a stop as she remembered something.

“oh almost forgot, i need to go see my brother and give him the house keys. this will be quick i’ll catch up with you guys in a bit.” that being said, the lass sprinted back in the school building heading towards the boy’s locker room where she hopes to meet her brother.

with one turn she could already see her brother standing just outside the locker room from afar and wanting to get back to where her friends await, she ran faster towards him when suddenly she fail to see a person walking out of the office and with her legs running so fast she couldn’t stop herself from sprinting and she couldn’t yell to warn the other either as she was too shocked so in the end she closed her eyes and waited for the two of them to crash and fall on the ground.

but then she felt a pair of petite yet strong arms circle around her body before hearing a loud thud and a person grunting in pain right after. when chaewon looked up she was both in shock and in awe of the beauty that this person possesses because right in front of her is what could actually put aphrodite to shame.

it was sakura.

with her distinct features and incredibly light complexion, the fairy began to think whether this is real or she really did hit her head hard and this girl right here is an angel from heaven who went down to fetch her soul.

whatever the case is, she doesn’t mind at all and either way is fine. if dying means she’ll get to see this angel every single day, then please by all means just take her sinful soul already.

“ing hell that bloody hurts.” chaewon didn’t even realize she was staring until the cherry blossom spoke which made her realize that this is indeed happening for real and thankfully, she’s alive and unharmed although that wasn’t the case for the other, obviously.

the goddess, as per chaewon’s claim, have her eyes shut tightly as she felt a twitch of pain all over her body when her back slams against the lockers. sakura was holding her so close to her body shielding her that she probably absorbed all impact from their collision.

“s-sorry.” was all the fairy could utter as she was still trapped in a trance that she put herself in. with her voice ringing in sakura’s ears, the japanese fluttered her eyes slowly and just like the former she too couldn't help but stare in awe with how surreal the younger looks.

sakura was feeling all sorts of overwhelming emotions, something she had never felt before and strangely she felt like there were butterflies in her stomach, an expression she heard of many times on the internet by people who claims to be somewhat 'in love' which to her before is just absurd because how the hell would someone could perceive the feeling of butterflies fluttering in your stomach. unless of course someone indeed swallowed a bunch of butterflies before and figured 'holy this is how it feels like to be in love'.

little by little, from neck up the cherry blossom started to turn red. she could feel her face heating up all because of chaewon's intense gaze that she couldn't break away from it as her eyes seem to be some sort of black hole her insanity into oblivion.

“are you... okay?” chaewon was the first one to have pulled herself back together as she began to worry over the other’s flushed face. sakura blinks in confusion, suddenly forgetting how to speak and understand the foreign language she spent three months studying all because of this angel.

“a-ah yeah. i’m okay, are you?” the short haired girl nods her head in response and tried to pull her weight from leaning against the japanese, but with her hands wrapped around her waist chaewon was flustered and hung her head low.

at first sakura was confused seeing her in this state, but soon realized the reason why so she quickly lets go of her tight grip around the smaller girl and apologized.

“oh... sorry about that.” the fairy shook her head with the apology and bowed.

“i should be the one saying that, sorry i was in a hurry ergo the reason why i was running. if it wasn’t for your reflexes we would’ve been in the school clinic now. again i’m really sorry.” she then scratched the back of her neck in embarrassment and sakura’s heart was once again melting from the sight of this.

however not wanting to appear as someone weird from all the staring she’s been doing, the cherry blossom’s eyes soon changed into cold ones before walking past her but not uttering her last words.
