Moon, Star, Sun and Thunder; a group of very intimate friends.

Moon, Star, Sun and Thunder always dancing in the sky.

But things were not quite that simple. Everyone was aware that Thunder loved Star. Sun was Thunder’s biggest emotional support in his times of devastation and frustration whenever Star refused to open her heart to Thunder. Every time Thunder felt crushed by the heaviness of the world, he sought comfort from Sun. Sun always came to Thunder’s rescue, whilst remembering to check up on Star and her emotional state, all the while neglecting something happening deep inside her. Moon meanwhile during all this was god knows where.

Then came the night for Sun when black and white blurred, everything confused and smudged. A night that Sun even now wonders “How? Why?”

“Sun, ponder on the matter, reflect on the matter. What is your emotional stand on the matter? How do you actually feel about Thunder?” whispered Moon to a dazed Sun.

“How I feel? He is a very very special friend. A very very important friend.”

Sun did not want to destroy this precious friendship they all shared. Sun did not want this balance to be broken. Sun did not want complicated feelings. Sun was scared of love. But Moon persisted, kept on nagging and finally, Sun gave in. Finally, Sun faced her own emotions.

“Yes, I have feelings for Thunder. But in no way does that mean I wish for anything to happen or develop between us. It would be pointless.”

But Moon being the hopeless romantic could not understand why Sun would back off without a fight, because Moon believes, any love is worth fighting for.

“But what is the point of fighting a battle where I am already losing? What is the point of risking this precious friendship that we have? Losing Thunder as a friend would break me more than my feelings being rejected. Losing his trust would shutter me more than me never being loved.”

And so it was that Sun finally stopped running away from her own feelings. And so it was that Sun finally admitted out loud what everyone was suspicious of. Moon made comments in the past about how Thunder was being blind, going for Star instead of Sun, but would could Sun do? She was utterly helpless.

So, I've been a lurker on this site for pretty much a decade now, and finally I am writing something of my own (please take it easy on me!). We shall see how this turns out. Hopefully some of you will enjoy the story. Currently I am still contemplating whether to make this one long story, or have a sequel as a separate story. So yeah, embark on the adventure of the Star, Moon, Thunder and Sun with me yes?
