CHAPTER 1

“Are you sure it’s okay?” Wendy asked Seulgi after seeing Jennie and Rosé at the table

“Of course, I’m sure they wouldn’t mind.” Seulgi said pulling Wendy at the corner table

“Hey girls, do you mind Wendy sitting with us?” Seulgi asked when they reached the table, both Jennie and Rosé answered fine and its okay.

Wendy sits besides Seulgi and in front of the two awkwardly. “Hey, loosen up… they won’t bite.” Handing Wendy a glass of martini “You two won’t, right?”

Rosé and Jennie chuckles

“Not unless you want us, of course.” Jennie joked but it’s not as funny to Wendy the way it is to Seulgi and Rosé who’s laughing.

“But joke aside, thank you for taking good pictures of us.” Jennie said

“Well, you’re a pro yourself so it wasn’t really that hard.” Wendy said starting to ease after talking about her work “You did most of the work.”

“That’s sweet.”

“She’s always been a sweet talker.” Seulgi said  

“No, I’m not.”

“Wen, we’ve known each other since we were in college and trust me you are.” Seulgi pointed out “You just don’t know it.”

“I’ve only met you today but I get what Seulgi is saying.” It was Rosé this time “But don’t worry, we know you mean no harm unlike that disgusting man, I don’t even want to say his name, if he wasn’t one the sponsors I would definitely slap him, he keep looking at me like with those disgusting eyes like I was .”

“Well, that’s men, they’re trash.” Jennie said “Anyway, enough about men. How about you Wendy, is there a not-trashy men in your life?”

Wendy chuckles “No, I swing the other way.”

“Oh.”

“I am and if you’re not comfortable with me around its okay, I understand.” Wendy added

“No, no, no, it’s okay.” Jennie said smiling

“She’s a heartthrob ever since I met her until now.” It was Seulgi

“I can see why.” Jennie said “So, is there a soon-to-be Mrs. Son?”

“Uh, no.” Wendy answered “Still single.”

“Haven’t found the right one, huh.”

“I guess.”

“What do you mean you guess, how could you find someone when you’re not even going on dates.” Seulgi said

“I just don’t have time, I’m busy with work.”

“Nobody is too busy for love Wendy, right?” Seulgi said “I mean even celebrity who can’t even wink a sleep is dating here and there.”

“Agreed.” Jennie said looking at Seulgi, as Rosé nodded in agreement

“Don’t you nod woman.” Jennie said to “When was the last time you went on a date? 6 months, a year?”

“It’s not like I don’t want to go on a date, I just haven’t met someone for the last few months who’s decent enough to go a date with.” Rosé replied

“How about you two on a date then?” Jennie suggested, choking Wendy on her own drinks

“Don’t mind her.” Rosé tells Wendy “She just blurts out whatever it is on when she’s drunk

“I think that’s a great idea.” Seulgi added “I’d bet my life, Wendy is decent enough to go on a date with.”

“Don’t mind her too.” Wendy tells Rosé

“What do you mean, don’t mind her too?” Seulgi asked “Why? Rosé doesn’t look smart enough?” teasing

“A woman who prefer brain over a body, real decent Rosie” Jennie added teasing her friend

“Are you good at number, Rosie?” Seulgi asked ignoring the look Wendy is giving her “Wendy here have a thing for a woman who’s good at numbers.”

“Shut up.”

Seulgi laughs “What? Isn’t Ir—“ Wendy had shoved few pieces of olives on

“Shut up.”

“She’s drunk.” Wendy said “Don’t m—“

“I’d go on a date with you.”

Wendy stops from whatever it is that she was going to say, she was stunned “I...ah... don’t…”

“What? You think I’m just one stupid blonde?” Rosé said with a serious expression “Not worthy to go on a date with?”

Wendy swallowed, what did she get herself into “N-No, of course not. It’s just, I… just I—“

Rosé burst out laughing, as well as Seulgi and Jennie “I’m sorry, you’re just fun to tease.”

Wendy breathes in relief.

“I can hold my alcohol but I think I’m done for tonight.” Rosé said as she took one last drink

“Do you want me to walk you to your room?” Seulgi asked

“No, it’s okay. I’m fine, my room isn’t that far from here” Rosé said as she stood up “You guys have fun, it’s not to meet you Wendy.”

“Yeah, me too.” Wendy nodded as Rosé made her way towards the door.

“Are you sure she’s going to be okay?” Wendy couldn’t help but asked concern looking at Rosé’s figure, she’s not slurring so that’s a good sign but she clearly cannot walk straightly

“She’ll be fine.” Jennie replied but didn’t ease Wendy a bit.

After a few seconds, Wendy saw the man whom Rosé called disgusting, making his way out of the crowd towards outside.

“I’ll just make sure she’s okay.” Wendy said as she stood up from her seats and went to follow Rosé.

She got outside the hotel bar in a matter of seconds, she then looked and saw the man walking towards her left and not far she saw Rosé’s figure at the end of the hallway.

Wendy has never run like her life was on the line the way she’s running now, she breathe in relief when she reached Rosé in time, before the man could reached her who’s just a few meters away from her.

“You okay?” Wendy asked, surprising Rosé

“God, you scared me.” Rosé said chuckling “What are you doing here?”

“Let me walk you to your room.”

“I told you, I’m fine. I’m not that drunk.” Rosé said

“I know. I ju—“

“You two okay?” The man spoke when she reached the two.

“Yeah, we’re good.” Wendy answered politely

“You sure, I can wal—“

“We’re fine.” Rosé said cutting him off as she clings on Wendy’s arm

The man was about to say something again but Wendy had beat her into it by saying “We’re good, but we appreciate the offer.” She said as they start walking away from the man.

“Thank you.” Rosé said when they turn right as she took her hands off from Wendy “I’m not in my mind to be polite with him. You helped me retain one of my commercial”

Wendy chuckles “I’ll be asking autograph as a payment for my good deeds then.”

Rosé laughs “I’ll give you two.”

“I think we didn’t really need to be worried.” Jennie said as she and Seulgi stood outside the hotel bar looking at Wendy and Rosé walking pass the man.

“Told you, she’s small but Wendy can throw a mean punch.” Seulgi said looking at the two walking

“Come on, let’s go party.” Jennie said as she pulled Seulgi inside the bar again

The sound was loud and deafening so Seulgi had to stop dancing and leaned in to Jennie’s ear “I think we should go and check on them again.”

“You’ve seen them getting away from the guy, I’m sure they’ll be fine.” Jennie replied

“Yeah, but it’s been a while and Wendy hasn’t come back yet.” Seulgi said concerned “We didn’t really see the guy leaving, what if he followed them?”

“I thought Wendy could throw a mean punch?”

“What if the guy could throw a meaner punch?”

 “Are you sure you’re just worried about her and not have a thing with her?” Jennie asked back “That’s totally understandable.”

“I know, Wendy’s a catch but she’s like a sister to me and I’m worried as hell” Seulgi answered

“Fine.” As she and Seulgi made their way out of the crowds but before they could reached the door they saw the man from earlier entered with another girl on arm.

“We’ll I think we don’t have to worry, he moved on fast.” Jennie said

“But why isn’t Wendy back yet?” Seulgi asked worry still evident

Jennie stands in front of Seulgi, as she runs her finger on the crease on Seulgi’s forehead “Don’t worry too much, you’re going to ruin your gorgeous face.”

“But I—“

Seulgi stopped when Jennie suddenly hook her arms on her neck.

“What are you doing?”

“Knowing Rosie, I’m sure you won’t see your Wendy tonight.” Jennie said pulling Seulgi closer

“Jennie…”

“Let’s just say…” Jennie pulled Seulgi again, both of their foreheads touching, nose and lips inch away from each other “Rosie have a thing for decent and gentle people and Wendy is more than fit the criteria, there’s no way she would let Wendy walk away unscathed, I’m sure she already have her fangs and claws on her, she’s a wolf in a sheep’s cloth.”

Seulgi didn’t say anything.

Jennie chuckles “What? You didn’t get it?”

“I get what you’re saying. What is not understandable is what you’re doing right now unless, you’re drunk.” Seulgi said “Are you drunk?”

“Maybe?” Smile dancing on her lips

“Then you should probably sleep.” Seulgi said as she forcefully took Jennie’s arms off of her

“What’s your problem?” Jennie asked clearly annoyed

Seulgi grabbed Jennie’s hand as she pulled her from the crowd.

“Let go of me!” Jennie hissed as she tried to get away from Seulgi’s hold but failed. Seulgi had managed to pull her out from the bar and only let her hand go what they reached the elevator.

“What the hell is your problem?!” Glaring at her

“You’re already drunk, I’ll walk you to your room.” Seulgi answered as they wait for the elevator.

“You’re not my mother.” Jennie said as she steps away from Seulgi, walking back to the bar.

Seulgi immediately blocks her way “You’re too drunk to even realize what you’re doing and now you wanted to go back and drink more?”

“I’m not drunk.”

“Fine, then tell me what this is.” Seulgi said staring at Jennie “You do this to me when you’re drunk, you get touchy, clingy to me, telling me and doing something you’re not supposed to be doing with me and the next morning, you’ll just apologize because you’re just in drunk!”

“Seul…”

“God I hate it Jennie when you’re drunk.” Seulgi said in frustration “I feel like and a criminal taking advantage of you all at the same time.”

“This is my room.” Rosé said as she stood in front of her room “Thank you.”

Wendy nodded “It was nice meeting you.”

Rosé smiled “It’s nice meeting you too.”

“Goodnight.” Wendy said and then turns to left but stopped when Rosé called her.

“Wendy…”

“Yeah?”

“Do… do you want to go inside?”

Wendy couldn’t help but gulped at the questioned. Seulgi was right, Wendy has always been a sweet talker but also someone who is kind to no fault so this isn’t the first time that she had received such invitation after walking someone home, she didn’t want to assume things with Rosé but she had experienced this kind of things first hand so…

“No, it’s okay. Seulgi gets grumpy when I make her wait too long so, I probably get my there now.” Wendy answered politely “Have a goodnight, Rosé” and then turns as she walks again.

Rosé couldn’t help but smile hearing Wendy’s response, she then starts walking too but instead of walking inside her room, she follows Wendy and grabbed her by the arms when she reached her.

“Ro—“ Rosé had pushed her on the wall, cupped her face and went for a kiss before she could finish what she’s going to say.

Wendy’s eyes went wide and stupefied at the sudden contact.

Rosé pulled back, the kiss wasn’t that long, it was no more than five seconds but enough to rendered Wendy speechless and her whole body trembling.

Rosé did pulled back but can you really even say she pulled back when her lips are just on top of Wendy’s?

She breathes on her lips “I’m sure Seulgi and Jennie wouldn’t mind waiting.” And Wendy could swear that she’s losing her sanity little by little in every word because their lips keep touching on touching on every word that she says.

“T-they don’t?” Wendy asked like an idiot as their lips touches again.

Rosé laughs merrily “No, they don’t.”

“I guess, they do—“ Wendy stops when Rosé leaned for a kiss again, this time it was longer and softer.

“So, do you want to come inside?” She asked her lips, lingering on Wendy’s

“I… I think, that’s a bad idea.” Wendy said shaking, gulping “Like real bad.”

“I really hate bad ideas but I don’t really care about it right now because you’re it.” Rosé told her as she kissed her one more time and pulled her towards her room

“Bad idea it is.”
