Taehyung met her again; for years he held the same amount of guilt. He would be smiling and joking around with everyone, but deep inside he was still holding onto his past. Little did he know, the night he chose to leave her, her life changed drastically.
Foreword
I'm sorry, Taehee ah. But I need to go to her, I can't continue this any longer.
Tae, babe, you promised me. You said you don't take promises lightly. Please don't leave me.
I'm sorry.
Taehyung woke up in the middle of the night. The voice of her cracking and begging between tears on the phone that night seemed so new as if it happened just yesterday.
But it's been 5 years.
5 years since he hung up on her breaking it off and he hasn't seen or heard from her since.
He rubbed his face with his hands before pulling his sheets off himself and headed to the washroom.
As he was washing his face, he stared into the mirror to watch his reflection, it was definitely her. He thought to himself thinking back to the day he saw her again.
He had forgotten his gift he had bought for Hoseok and Eunhae's engagement. After informing Jimin, he rushed to find their manager in the crowd to grab the keys. As he walked back into the venue, he accidentally bumped into someone and he almost dropped the gift but she managed to catch it before it hit the floor.
"Sorry and thank you, that would've been a disaster." He smiled widely as she stood back up. His eyes met her and his smile disappeared in a second, frozen and stiff.
She smiled and nodded, handing back his gift but he was too focused on her that he forgot to take it from her. She lifted the gift higher and tilted her head, he snapped back and took it from her.
She didn't say a word but the smile he remembered so well was there, she gave a gentle bow before leaving him standing there to recollect himself and his memories. He had thought he has gotten over it but seeing her again brought back all the bottled memories back to the surface.
Why didn't she say anything to me? He thought turning off the tap and patting his face dry with a small white towel. Did she for a moment forget who I was? Or was it because I'm a celebrity that she kept her distance?
Either way, she's now in Seoul and for some odd reason, he is drawn back into their past. The past he chose to walk out of and leave her behind...hearbroken.
