Description
Promising secret service agent Kang Seulgi fires one bullet that changed her life for the worst. A year later, fate binds her with the life of a rising singer who falls in the dark pit of the criminal underworld.
Seulgi finds a little light in the whole ordeal and enlists herself as the singer’s bodyguard, not at all thinking that maybe she was the one being saved by the inevitable light of one Son Seungwan.
Foreword
I’m baaaaaack. This was supposed to be a oneshot but hey, I fell in love with the characters too much to not give them good exposure. They all deserve the love. Anyway, here goes! Let’s start with a rewind.
One year ago.
“Don’t do this.”
Seulgi was well aware of how much her voice and fingers were shaking. The gun in her hand was rattling, and it was enough to give away how much she didn’t want to pull the trigger.
“What will you do? Shoot me?”
”Jongin, please. Come home.”
There was a brief light in his eyes, but Seulgi knew him more than anyone. Jongin was long gone.
”Come back safely to me. Please.”
Jongin smiles, eyes dead however. He steps forward and takes Seulgi’s hand, forcing the cold barrel of the shaking gun firm on his forehead.
”They will never let me live after all that’s been done,” he says forlornly.
”I am so sorry, Seulgi.”
There was something else in his eyes, and with the bitter taste of something not entirely unfamiliar to her climbing up , she accepts.
