it's monday

everyone hates monday and mina is no exception

she believes people were deceiving when they said it doesn't feel like dying to leave the bed early morning

the sunlight blended within the white curtains, twisting into the dimmed room before it slowly crawls onto mina's bed; the rays warmly run on her skin

"honey, have you woken up?"

a voice breaking the silence inside the room, it's a routine of her mom on making sure that mina won't oversleep.

there is another knock on the door, and mina stirred from her sleep as she hums loudly in the hope that it will convince her mom that she had awakened by the merciless knocks

mina reached for her phone under the pillow, squinting when the brightness blinds her vision

she noticed there's an unread message from sana. of course the girl would ask about the existences of homework only a few hours before the school start; in which mina answered with a simple yes before going for a shower, leaving sana no choice but to spam mina's phone

mina runs her hand through the linen curtain, pushing it aside, and slides open the balcony door

she took a deep breath and let the sun kissed her skin

right on cue when mina was about to leave for her shower, she heard noises from down the street which makes her lean through the fence and peep

"oh, they're moving in," mina says to herself, "that's good, soon the house won't look creepy anymore."

mina stands in front of her locker door, eyes scanning through the crowd of people swarming the hallway expecting to see some familiar faces that will greet her with a smile

"mina!"

sana's high-pitched voice makes almost everyone nearby glances to the other way, seeing the other japanese girl squeezes through a crowd of people until she reaches mina's side

"you look lively for a hectic monday," the latter giggles over the compliment

jihyo puts her arms around sana's neck and bumps their head lightly, "like she ain't always been."

mina rolls her eyes and laughs over the lovebirds' action and affection, sometimes, mina would giggle when she remembered how jihyo used to be a gay-panic every time sana is near, now they can't even keep it lowkey

most of the times mina would whines when the three of them hang out yet the couple forgot about her existence

jihyo and sana every time it happened, they said, if mina is dating someone she won't feel miserable, but the thing is mina can't even look at her crush's eyes without hyperventilating

what's so frightening about having a crush?

mina believes that it's supposed to be less nerve-wracking if she doesn't share the same crush as almost half the population of the school
