H U G

“Thank you for today, Doyoung. I had a great time. Good night.” You were about to send the tall boy home but he just stood there.

He grinned and showed off his bunny teeth. “I’ll see you tomorrow?”

“Sure.”

“I don’t get a hug?”

You scoffed, chuckling at him who opened wide his arms. “A hug hug like friends hug, or a romantic way hug?”

He laughed. His eyebrows wiggled a little bit. “There are different types of hug?”

You shrugged as you smirk.

“How about a big hug like you and I never had before because I just got my position promoted from being just a friend into someone you will spend the rest of your life with, and you, young lady, just got yourself an amazing, cool, and smart boyfriend who might propose to you any time, any where, and in any ways you can never imagine?” He stressed the words ‘just a friend’.

Instead of throwing yourself in his embrace, you laughed again. “Wow, you really are a good speaker, Doyoung,” you said, still unable to stop giggling and at the same time amused by his ability to speak with such words.

You remembered the way you always said how Kim Doyoung was just a friend to people who asked what he was to you. And now, looking at him, proudly standing before you with a big smile as if he won a lottery, everything felt surreal.

Finally he was the one to pull you closer. He carefully bent down so you can place your chin on his shoulder. You responded to him by wrapping your arms around his slim waist, and sometimes giving him pats on the back.

Once he released you from his arms, his wide grin had turned into softer smile and you can sense his loving eyes staring at you. While you were flustered from being stared at so you can’t really look back at him in the eyes.

“Anyway, just because we’re in relationship now, don’t expect me to say ‘saranghae’ everyday.” But yes, of course, the savageness can come back just in a snap.

You let out a dramatic sigh. “Does it look like I’m going to say that to you? Nah.”
