Chapter six! "The letter you found where is it?" Taeyeon asked Yuri. Standing up, she wiped her tears from her face and made sure non will be running down her face again. She's a general, a warrior and she's not suppose to be crying, that was for the weak hearts not her. "It's in my quarters, do you want me to bring it to you?" Yuri asked looking sad but internally she was celebrating. "Yes, I need to be sure it's in her hand writing." Taeyeon said, her hands resting on her sides. "And then what?" Yuri wanted to know what Taeyeon had in mind. "Then I'll confront her, I can't be a fool anymore." The general explained as a matter of fact. "What will you say to her?" Yuri was curious how Taeyeon would handle the matter, or if she could help in anyway. "That's non of your business," Taeyeon snapped and Yuri grimaced at the sound of Taeyeon's voice, wondering how someone so tiny could have such a powerful voice. "I just need you to give me the letter." Taeyeon added calmly this time. "Alright, I will, you just wait here while I get it for you." Yuri said and her heels quickly. A moment later, she was back with the letter in her hand. "Here is it." Taeyeon grabbed the scroll like paper and proceeded to read it's content. A beautiful hand writing greeted her with words that burned her eyes. *I wish you are here today, I wish you could save me from this marriage, I wish you can just take me away, so far away because I'm not happy with this, but mother insist on it. I don't know anything anymore, I just know I need you right now more than ever and I love you so much. Yours Sooyeon.* Taeyeon felt cold dread filling her heart before dark hot anger ran through her veins. She glanced at her best friend with one final thought in her mind... She must annul this marriage, she'll fight the growing feelings for the princess in her heart with all she can, she must face the Empress and denounce this marriage. Consequences be damned, that's her final decision. Taeyeon turned to leave but Yuri called for her. "Take this with you also." She said handing out the vial of poison to Taeyeon. The general took the tiny bottle and left for the palace. Arriving at the palace, her eyes automatically glanced at the gardens. It was the place she knew the princess would be, at this time and she was right, indeed the princess was there with Yoon ah, chatting and cheering like she's done nothing wrong. She walked up to them and cleared once she's in front of them. Yoon ah rose quickly and bowed her greetings to the general, ignoring her, Taeyeon glanced at her wife with so much hate, she could strangle her to death if given the opportunity to. "Yoon ah, I want to speak with the princess, if you don't mind." "Of course I don't." Yoon ah smiled at the general and managed a side wink at the princess before quickly leaving the two alone. Taeyeon paced for a few seconds, thinking of the way to approach the matter, she finally sighed and sat a little farther away from the princess. "Did you write this letter?" Taeyeon asked and offered Sooyeon the piece of paper in her hand. Sooyeon took it from her and examined it, she was a bit confused at first but soon recognition lighten up her features. "Yes." Taeyeon nods feeling something bitter stuck in , and feeling anger taking over her, most of the anger she felt though came from the intense feeling of jealousy that the princess did write the letter, rather than the feeling of betrayal, she knew that, but this was neither the time nor the place to dwell on her feelings. Not when the princess had so harshly trampled her heart. Her heart had been broken by Sooyeon and she doesn’t even know what to do with the pieces. "And this, does it belong to you also?" "Where did you get this?" Sooyeon asked taking the vial from her wife quickly, her looks shifting to that of concern, concern that the poison may hurt her wife. "I'm not going to answer any questions from you, but you have a lot to say to me." The general spat coldly. There’s confusion written all over Sooyeon's face. "Y-yes it belongs to me." She answered. "Do you hate me so much to want to kill me?" Taeyeon asked, as she locked her bloodshot eyes with her wife's. "What?" Sooyeon was speechless for a brief moment, not to mention still as confused as hell. "No, why are you saying that?" "Because that was found in your belongings and this letter too. Do you really have a lover?" The question stung coming from her lips, and her face contorted violently like she's been bitten by a scorpion on her tongue. "A lover?" Now the princess is completely and fully perplexed with all the questioning game her wife was playing. "What are you implying?" "Someone found that in your belongings, someone that I trust. What have I ever done to you to betray me like this?" The general roared, she stood like a lion ready to attack it's prey, but clasped her hands behind her back in order to keep herself from doing something extreme. "Taeyeon please." Sooyeon began, first with a realization that this is the very first time she'd ever addressed the general by her real given name, but she didn't dwell on how it tasted so sweet in , for the situation at hand is far more serious than she thought. "What betrayal are you talking about?" The princess's heart is pounding so hard she’s sure even Taeyeon could hear it from where she stood. "Who told you all that?" "Like I said, someone I trust. Yuri will never lie to me." Sooyeon smiled a sad smile as recognition rushed through her. "Of course, Yuri." She shook her head. "Yes! Yuri told me everything, she found the letter and the poison you were going to use on me, sooner than you could." Taeyeon's face twisted into a painful grimace again. Her chest hurts and she can feel the sting of unshed tears waiting to be let down, but she won’t show weakness like she did earlier, not in front of the princess, not ever. "It isn’t me but your best friend Yuri, who has betrayed you!” the princess yelled in hopes that the general would just listen to her. “How could she ever betray me? She is my best friend, someone that has risked her life on many occasions to save mine. How could she ever betray me?" The general demanded to know. “Perhaps that is the reason I have shown her respect, but she has tried to keep us apart instead. She has planted a vile seed of doubt in your mind against me. If I am what she said I am then what would you call what she did to you?” The princess willed Taeyeon to believe in her, but she saw the general's face morphed into that of blinding rage. "I will not tolerate a word against Yuri." Taeyeon roared and leveled a withering glare at the princess. Her breathing becoming labored from holding her anger back. But she knows that hurting the Princess was the absolute last thing she wanted, even if the Princess hadn’t extended the same amount of care towards her. Sooyeon raised her chin up defiantly, she's the princess after all, and she refused to hold back while the general, a commoner insult her in her own home, "Just as you will not entertain a word against her, I also cannot hear a word against my integrity and honor." The princess stated proudly before glancing straight ahead into oblivion, “How unfortunate I am." She smiled sadly. "Just when I thought that I'm finally finding love, trust and happiness… Why did this have to happen to me?” The question is directed more toward herself than at the general. “Since I am accused of all that and you believed it all, you may as well do whatever you see fit." The princess looked up and glared right back at Taeyeon fearlessly. "I'm going back to my home, with my people, this marriage will be annulled, since marriage is based on love and love is based on trust, now I clearly don't trust you, so yes, I should go." The general said, and as soon as she'd uttered those words the princess could feel her world shattering to pieces. "Well then, it's your decision." The princess said sadly and watched as Taeyeon started walking away. On the flip-side, the general was feeling so sad and hurt that the princess didn't even bother to defend herself, maybe explain her own side of the story, or just deny the accusations, it would have meant a lot to her if she'd at least denied having a lover. But Sooyeon didn't care, she never will. Taeyeon felt so stupid for thinking there w

Chapter 1: eoooo interesting. At least the story won't be conflicted by taeyeon's identity because she already confessed to the queen from the start.
