" Ken, it's your turn." 

Ken nodded to his manager and the only close friend, Sejun and put on his silver mask. He took a deep breath and set his feet at the ladder towards the stage.

People screamed at the sight of him. He was wearing black pants, and black leather jacket with white tee beaneath showing his well-proportioned body paired with black boots. He adjusted his eyes to the lights and roamed around.

"It's showtime, Ken." He muttered to himself and raised his hand to signal the band to start.

Everyone kept quiet as he opened his first note. All were enthralled to his deep, soulful voice. Ken closed his eyes and felt every words of the song like he was making love with it. He seemed contented of his audience's reaction until his eyes met these two particular eyes with a gummy smile. He didn't know what happened but he seemed connected by this man.

On that particular night, Justin had a long day at the office. They just closed a big account on their advertising firm and he badly needed to unwind after almost a month of sleepless nights.

He called his closed friends, Stell and Josh to have a little celebration outside. 

" Stell, Josh are you in? Let's have a drink at the hotel nearby. Just to show my little appreciation for all the hard work that you've done."

" I'm in." Josh replied. 

"Me too, I badly need it right now dude." Stell's message arrived. 

The three of them went to their cars and drive to the SB Hotel. As they went inside, the next perform was already on the stage. 

"Jah, you okay?" Josh tapped Justin's shoulder to get his attention. 

Justin was snapped back and said yes. 

Being one of the hotel's VIPs, the three were seated at the front row. Their order came in. Suddenly the lights went out and a spotlight was out, pointing to the masked man on stage. 

Justin suddenly felt nervous at the sight of the man in front of him. He held his chest and took a deep breath. 

"You okay, Jah?" Stell asked with his voice laced with worry. 

"Yeah, do you want us to go home, Bunso? May be you're tired." Josh added.

Justin smiled and assured his Kuyas that he was okay. 

"I'm okay Kuyas, don't worry about me. For now, let's enjoy the night." 

"Who's that guy? It's funny why he has mask on." Josh commented. 

"What? Don't you know him? Are you living under the rock, Josh? He's the most sought after singer today!" Stell's nose crinkled. 

Then why the hell is he having a mask? I mean what's the point?"

"Shut up, the show is about to start. The moment you'll hear him sing, you'll become  fan of him. I swear."

"Hahaha of course not. I'm better than him, Stell."

"Eww! You're so assuming, right Jah?" 

Justin laughed at his friends banter and signaled them to shut up. 

The two nodded and took their glasses of wine. 

"Cheers for more amazing opportunities ahead." Stell declared and the three went on a toast. 

They were in the middle of chatting when the bad began to strum their guitars. Everyone silenced as the masked man opened his mouth.

Justin's eyes grew wide as he heard the mystery singer sang. He felt his heartbeat in fast rhythm and butterflies in his stomach. 

He didn't noticed that a sweet and genuine smile crept on his face while listening and looking intently to the man in front. 

Josh noticed it and nudged Stell. 

​​​​​"Uh uh, someone's stuck by a love bug." Stell teased. 

​​"Ehem, don't stare too much Jah or he'll disappear." Josh joked. 

​​​​​​"Ssshhhhhh, I'm listening." 

​​​​The two laughed and continued listening.

Justin didn't take of his eyes to the singer. He was so much captivated by his voice that the world seemed to stop. And his breath hitched when the masked man stared at him. His dark, expressive eyes looked into his.

They were looking into each other's eyes the whole time until the song was finished. Justin was back to reality when he heared the crowd cheer.

​The singer bowed down to his audience and was about to go when he turned back and waved to Justin that made him gasped. He knew that he smiled behind his mask. And that smile was for him. Justin waved backed and nodded.

​​"Whoah! What was that Justin de Dios? Don't you know that never did happen that the Masked Man interacted with anyone but you made him waved at you??!! What sorcery is this?" Stell said in an amazement. 

​​​​"Wait,what? Ano sya Diyos? Eh mas gwapo at mas magaling naman ako dun noh. Dba bunso?" Josh joked.

​"Grabe,kakatext lang ng NDRRMC, may malakas daw na bagyo na paparating. Ang pangalan ay Bagyong Josh Cullen" Jah replied while laughing. 

​​​​"Oo nga noh, malapit na tayong liparin sa lakas ng hangin." Stell added

​​​​"Mga walang awa! Mga kaibigan ko ba talaga kayo?" 

​​​​"Hindi." Jah and Stell replied in chorus that made Josh glared at him. And they all laughed. 

​​​​​​Suddenly, a waiter came in with a letter on his hand.

"Excuse me, Sir. Someone wants to give you this." He handed it on Justin. 

​​​They were all shocked especially Justin.

"From whom, Kuya?"Justin asked. 

" I'm sorry Sir but it was just handed to me by a random person to give it to you. 

Justin nooded and mouthed thank you to the waiter. The moment the guy was out, Josh and Stell came near and sneak what's inside. 

"Ano ba naman mga Kuya, mas excited pa kayo sakin eh."

"Dali na Jah, buksan mo na para malamin na natin sino ang pinaka a swerteng tao sa mundo." Stell said. 

"Pag yan di gwapo Jah, gagangsterin ko yan!" Josh joked. 

" Bakit, abot mo?" Jah replied. 

" Eto, you want?" Josh showed his fist. 

They all laughed.t 

It was a scented letter with a masculine touch. And when he opened it, Jah was speechless and the two looked at each other with big smiles. 

"That song I sang was for you."
