Let's begin
My Only PANACEAYeri’s eyes slowly opened at the sound of the IV dripping and the noise around her increasing; her senses were surprisingly clear and almost too good to be true. She took a deep breath and then sighed as she opened her eyes slowly to the bright light that beamed down from the ceiling.
“Jungkook-ah,” she whispered as a dark figure approached her.
“Secretary Kim,” the oddly deep voice made her jump up in shock, “it’s okay… it’s just me.”
“M-Mr. CEO?”
“Yes,” he sat down in the chair next to the bed, “how are you?”
She groaned and looked around, “I’m okay…”
“Are you sure,” he looked around, “you seem agitated.”
Just as he said that, Jungkook came around the curtain with two coffees in his hands, “oh, Secretary Kim, you’re awake?”
“Jungkook-ah,” she felt relief pour over her immediately as he approached the bed, “what happened?”
“You got hurt,” he handed Namjoon the cup of coffee, “and then you fainted from the pain, so we brought you to the hospital.”
Namjoon turned and smiled to her, “no worries though, it’s not serious… just a bruise and thankfully no fractures.”
“Yeah,” Jungkook drank his coffee and reassured her with a wide smile, “you’ll be out of here soon.”
“Exactly how long has it been,” she sat up in bed.
“Not long,” Namjoon stood to help her, “since last night.”
“That long?!”
He chuckled, “you’ve been overworking yourself while I’ve been gone, huh?”
“Oh, I guess so,” she chuckled with him, “but what are you doing here?”
“For a couple of reasons,” he glanced at Jungkook before explaining to her, “first off; we decided to close the story…”
“You did?”
“Yeah, the embezzling was apparently a made-up story by Ok Taeyong, who was a sasaeng of Kang Seulgi and only wanted to get close to her through you.”
“Kang Seulgi,” she hesitated, “how is she?”
“Yah,” Jungkook scolded her, “you shouldn’t be worrying about her right now.”
“I know,” she pouted, “but he was going to hurt her… I could see it in his eyes.”
He relaxed and smiled at her caring nature, “she’s fine… he was detained temporarily for assault and will probably be sued by her management company.”
“I see…”
Namjoon sat down again, “aside from that, we can’t touch her and Park Jimin’s scandal unless we want to be shut down for about a month, so I want you to rest for now… I’ve been pushing you too hard for this story even though you weren’t a journalist… I should’ve had someone else do this.”
“No,” she felt disheartened, “I can still do it.”
“Secretary Kim,” he tried to reason with her, “the story already ended…”
“I mean I can still write,” she tried to get out of bed, “I can’t give up yet.”
“Hold on a minute,” he pressed her shoulder to force her to sit, “it’s not the end of your career… just the story.”
“Y-you mean I can still write?”
“Yes,” he smiled at her simple thoughts, “don’t jump to conclusions… I won’t abandon you, not when you’ve been working so hard.”
She smiled up at him sweetly, “thank you so much, Mr. CEO.”
Jungkook watched her smile, turned to look at Namjoon smile, and then it hit him, “oh…”
“What is it,” Namjoon turned to him when he heard.
“Oh, it’s nothing,” he coug
