Foreword

Author's Note

I know I usually write stories with my ultimate bias KPOP group EXO but this time I decided to attempt to write about a new group. The one I chose is Seventeen with Jeonghan and Seungcheol as my pairing for this story. I'm going, to be honest, that the only song of Seventeen's that I heard so far is "Clap" which is the first song I heard from them and I guess it got so addicting that I listened to it on repeat. It then became kind of easy to distinguish some of the members by listening to their voice, Seungkwan and Seungcheol were the easiest for me to recognize.

For this story, I randomly chose the other characters based on the names I saw in the contest. The only one I picked due to one of the prompts is Baekhyun which is prompt #64, the one from "Power". I have a good reason for picking it but I hope it doesn't give away what I plan for Baekhyun in my story. Although the summary I wrote might give it away. My original idea for this story was that the setting is supposed to take place on a cruise ship but I decided to go for a big mansion during a stormy day. I did intend to write a little profile for the characters but I thought to not because it might end up spoiling the story. Also, I decided to try to age the characters up so everyone in the story is at least 30 years old.

I planned on this being a Oneshot but maybe if I can I might end up making it have two chapters. But I might end up sticking with a Oneshot depending when I finish and post the story.

My arms are incredibly sore yesterday from helping lift some heavy things but that won't stop me from correcting my story.

Chapter 2: This is really a different story from anything I have ever read! When it first began I was expecting something along the lines of the Clue game, where one has to guess the murderer etc, but this really took my expectations and threw them out the window! I really enjoyed the uniqueness that this story brought to my contest!
The flow of the story is really, really fast, and while I know that it is meant to take place within just two hours, it is still a bit too rushed to really sink in. Adding more description to the place, to their appearances, even to the body language and little interactions between the characters would not only slow down the fast pace, but it would also make the characterization deeper and more human. As it is they feel a little flat because you weren't able to give them true human depth. Also, be careful of switching back and forth between past and present tense - you have different ones in the same sentence at times.
The idea of a romance within a murder story within a ghost story is so UNIQUE, I cannot press that enough! I really commend you on your imagination and I really liked how you ended this, despite it not being your planned ending. So thank you very much for your entry, I enjoyed it a lot!
