"mm" Sana released a soft moan from her chapped lips as she began to stretch. She could hear random mumbling on the other side of her door. 'It sounds like Mina and Momo" She grunted and plopped once again "They must be arguing again.

The muttering becomes louder and louder as they began to shout to which Sana had to jolt out of her bed and screamed at them

"WHAT IS GOIN-" her eyes widened to find Mina and Momo pulling over a familiar girl in the center "C-chaeyoung?"

"ah! H-Hey Sana.." She smiled awkwardly at the latter

"ah! w-what are-"

The doorbell rang and the front door opened to reveal Jeongyeon and and her friends coming in with a smile on their faces

"Yo! Yo! What is going on everyone!" Jeongyeon yelled with a wave

"Finally! Did you guys cook?!" Nayeon added

The girls then began laughing as Sana was confused to see why is everyone here, including Dahyun and Tzuyu. Jeongyeon laughed as she walked towards Sana with a smile on her face.

"Well? Why are you not ready?" she chuckled and stood beside her

"What?"

"You forgot?" Sana stared at her with curiosity written all over her face and her brows knitted "It's Christmas Eve.." Jeongyeon smiled

"No it's not! It's next week.."

"You sure?" Jeongyeon teased the latter with a smirk

"Yeah! It is!" She grabbed out her phone to see the date, and her eyes widened "I swear it was next week!" 

"You enjoyed your vacation too much huh?"

"-but.. Why didn't you remind me?"

"I thought you knew.." she chuckled "Oh.. so that's why you were asking to go out today!" she laughed

"Yeah! Idiot!" and gave out a slight punch onto the latter, to which Jeongyeon just gave a giggle response.

"Well! We are here! let's just get ready!" Momo exclaimed as she grabbed Chaeyoung from Mina

"ah! Chaeyoung! weren't you going to help me?!" Mina yelled

"S-Sorry Mina"

"eh!" Mina sighed

"Yeah! We need more help on the rooftop than in the kitchen!" Momo laughed running away with Chaeyoung and pulling Nayeon on her way out too 

"I can help you" a small voice called to her with a grin on her face

"You sure?"

"Yeah, It should be fun.. Tzuyu and I will help"

"O-okay, I am so sorry, you girls are guest"

"It's okay" the small girl chuckled as she hopped off the sofa and went walking down with Mina to the kitchen

"I'll help you guys too" Jihyo added following them to the kitchen

"Ah, Is it really Christmas eve?" Sana sighed as she walked down to the living room to see the mess her friends had been doing, as well as the preparations

"Yes, It is.." Jeongyeon smiled. Sana then sighed as her eyes hovered around the room and noticed presents underneath the tree. Her eyes widened

“Ah! shoot!” Her loud panicked voice caught Jeongyeon off guard and jolted

“Wassup?”

“Gifts! I forgot to get you guys gifts!”

“By you guys? You mean.. everyone?”

“No.. I got one for our exchange gifts..” She panicked 

“Well, I don’t see the problem..”

“It’s our first Christmas with Chaeyoung, Jeong.. Don’t tell me you didn’t get her any?” 

“Of course I did. I got one for you too, just like every year”

“Yeah! well, I don’t! ” She began running back to her room

“Sana” By that moment, Sana had slammed her door and Jeongyeon chuckled and shook her head

‘Oh Sana.. forgetful as ever’ she thought as she pulled out a small box from her pocket ‘I hope she likes it’ she smiled as she opened this to see her present. A small silver bracelet that has a word carved into it glistened in the box. ‘Tonight is the night, I won’t back down.’ she grinned at the thought and hid the small box again. ‘Tonight.. I’ll finally be true’

After hastily getting ready, Sana immediately ran out of her room as the girls looked over her

"Hey! Where are you going?" Mina yelled

"Sorry Mina, I can't help right now, I need to go downtown" she hurriedly uttered

"What? why?" she called

"I gotta by presents!!- okay bye!"

"Sana!" It was too late to convince her as she shut the door and left.

"huh? where did she go?" Jeongyeon came in with more decorations around her arms

She ran towards downtown to find the city is filled with busy crowds and people getting ready to set up for Christmas Eve. The city of Seoul has this tradition during Christmas eve, to which a giant Christmas tree is set up in the heart of Seoul for couples to make a wish before the clock strikes twelve. Fireworks and Christmas music will be playing, food stalls and Christmas light shows will occur to celebrate that time of the year.

"Where is that shop? I need to get them something- ah stupid Sana, Why did you even forget!" She sighed as she looked into the sky and snow fell onto her. She looked around to finally see something she could get for her best friends. 

"Another thing for us to match!" She smiled as she lifted her phone with a small braided key ring dangling a white polar bear displayed onto it. 

"Perfect" she grinned with a bubbly high toned squeal

She got back to the apartment about five in the afternoon, Hiding her phone so the others won't notice the difference.

"Sana! There you are!" Momo exclaimed as everyone was ready for the celebration of Christmas

"Sorry, It took me a while" Momo peaked at her shopping bag with a smirk

"Is that for us?" she whispered

"N-No!" she averted and instantly ran to her room "I'll be back!" and the girls laughed

The moment she got back, They were ready to celebrate. Nayeon and Jihyo had prepared party games for the whole gang to enjoy. So they played games..

"Left on blue, right on yellow!" Nayeon laughed

"HOLY! MY LEGS WILL TEAR!" Dahyun complained

"Shut up! I had the weirdest position here!" Chaeyoung grunted as her face was facing Momo's

"Like what you see hot stuff?" Momo taunted

"NO! HURRY AND SPIN!"

[After Games] 

"ah! that's not fair! you pushed the pie to my face momo!" Mina stood up from the table with pie dripping down

"hahah! you're just a sore loser Minari!" The latter gritted her teeth as she grabbed the pie from the toy machine and chased after the japanese girl "YAH! THIS IS NOT FAIR!" The girls laughed

[After Games] 

"ALRIGHT! KINGS!" Nayeon shouted as she reached out her curled hand with strips of papers sticking out of them and a smirk devilishly placed on her face

"No.. No.. I know that smirk!" Jihyo scoffed

"It won't hurt to play this playful game you know?" She taunted

"NO! WAY!!"

"What's kings?" Tzuyu asked as the continuous bickering are happening in the background 

"I have no idea" Chaeyoung commented

"It's where people draws from the hand, and gets a role. If you get a king, you're able to command anything you want your people to do for you" Mina explained

"So.. King gets to choose anything?" Dahyun questioned

"Yes, Like, number 4, 7 and 6 can do the chicken dance or something" She laughed

"Oh.. it's a command." Tzuyu clarified and Mina hummed in agreement

“So why don’t you want to play kings?” Chaeyoung asked

“Well, Kings with Nayeon and Momo.. gets a little out of hand”

“Out of hand like?” She turned to her with a confused face. Mina averted her eyes and leaned down to the cub

“Things like, number 5 gets to kiss the King..” she whispered to her, and the cub’s eyes widened as her face flushed red from the idea

“W-WHAT?! There’s those?!” She stuttered and pulled away from the girl

“Yeah” she smiled gently as if it happened often

“Why? why would she do that!” She looked over the bickering friends as she watched the argument to play kings continued. 

She unknowingly stared at Sana, thinking of the possibilities of getting that command with her. Her face flushed red as she immediately hung her head in embarrassment.

“OKAY! FINE! Kings it is!” Jihyo sighed. Momo and Nayeon excitedly squealed. Nayeon placed her hand once again in the center of the circle.

“KINGS! LET’S DRAW!” she smirked, as the nervous girls started to draw some strips.

“Ah! I got the king.” Dahyun raised her hand

“Aw.. I wanted the king,” Momo pouted

“Well.. What’s your command, your highness?” Nayeon laughed

“uh.. what should I do?”

“Just pick a number, doubles or triples up to you”

“Okay.. then, uh. Number 5 and 8 will have to.. uh, do a dance cover in the middle”

“ah! what? that’s boring!” Nayeon whined

“But.. I don’t know what to do”

“Next time, ask me,” she winked

The girls called began to do a small dance cover in front of the group. Nayeon then collected all the strips and placed it in the middle again as they continued onwards to finish the game. After a few moments, loud explosions began to roar up the sky.

“Oh, my gosh! Fireworks!” Nayeon squealed as she ran out of the front door. She stood out on the open rails of the apartment hallway, watching the blazing trails arc above. The girls followed her as they watched the bright sky.

Fireworks through the dark night vivid colours bloom among the stars. Each one painting a pattern in the sky each one different from one another. Jeongyeon was less interested in the display in the sky than in watching Sana’s expressions. How the colours light up her face as she smiles, the way the lights danced in her eyes. It was like a real life photograph. Sana’s eyes drifted from the sky and towards Jeongyeon with a small smile present on her face. ‘The eyes I could get lost in over and over again, I always wondered what crosses your mind when your eyes meet mine. Cause mine gets filled with you’ 

“Let’s go! We got 30 more minutes to light the giant tree!” Momo exclaimed

“—huh? We’re leaving?” Tzuyu asked confused

“Yeah! It’s Christmas eve”

“But what about the presents?”

“We’ll do that when we get back, Come on! Seoul is buzzing!” Momo exclaimed and the girls excitedly followed.

“O-Okay”

The girls then arrived at central park as they made their way through the crowd to watch the lighting of the giant tree. 

“What do we do here?” Dahyun asked

“The tree is lit at exactly midnight, it’s that time of the year where you make your wishes. It’s tradition, but some still believes it” Mina explained

“So? How much more?”

“About 15 minutes— let’s grab something to eat, and maybe play a few games from the stalls” Jihyo pointed with excitement in her eyes

“Okay Jihyo, I got you” Nayeon laughed as they began to walk through the festival aisle

“Hey” Jeongyeon immediately held onto Sana’s wrist, halting her. “Can we talk?”

“Huh? Sure, what is it about”

“Not here, maybe alone?”

“Oh. Okay, are you okay Jeongyeon?”

“Yeah.” She smiled

“Alright.— Hey, Jeongyeon and I will be waiting by the fountain!” Sana yelled over and the girls acknowledged her. Chaeyoung eyed them as they left hand in hand.

“Worried?” Momo smirked as she leaned down the cub

“Me?” Momo hummed with a taunt “No, why should I, they’re just gonna hang out”

“Sure..” she smiled “well, aren’t you going to eat?”

“Maybe” she chuckled as she tried to take another glance to Sana and Jeongyeon’s direction.

“Well, what is it?” Sana giggled as she and Jeongyeon walked with their arms linked. 

“I just want to talk” She smiled 

“About what?”

“Anything really, we barely get to talk these past few days, Sana,” she laughed

“Yeah, I am sorry.”

“You’re so caught up with Chaeyoung, that you forgot about me”

“No. that’s not true?”

“I'm just kidding,” she chuckled

Jeongyeon and Sana began walking around the silent part of the park as snow gradually falls above them, and the velvet skies lit up with the loud fireworks

“This year’s fireworks are amazing, huh?” Sana said as she faced the sky, watching the trail blaze around it as it reflects on her eye

“Yeah, it’s amazing that I get to spend the day with you too,” Jeongyeon mumbled

“Huh?” She turned to find Jeongyeon standing behind her. 

“Here. I’ve been meaning to give you this” She pulled out a box from her pockets and revealed a silver-plated bracelet with Sana’s name on it

“Oh my, Jeongyeon,” She gasped

“Merry Christmas, Sana” she chuckled as she wrapped the bracelet around her wrist.

“Ah! Thank you.— my gift is at home, I’m sorry,” she whined

“It’s okay.” She chuckled

“Gee, Jeongyeon, you really don’t have to” she smiled as she stared into the silver bracelet, brushing her thumb through her name

“Also..” Jeongyeon uttered as she gently grabbed Sana’s hand intertwining them “—There’s something I wanted to say”

“H-huh?” Sana stared into Jeongyeon’s eyes, who seemed to look at her with overflowing passion. Something, she’s never seen before. “What about?” Her heart began to pound as she watched the latter move closer to her. Her eyes were mesmerizing.

“Remember that girl I told you about?”

“Y-yeah? You haven’t even introduced her to me” Sana laughed. Jeongyeon hummed as she leaned over to wrap her arms around her

“I decided to tell her.” She mumbled

“Really?— When? But, I haven’t met her yet! How would I know if she’s right for my best friend,” she chuckled

“You don’t have to.. you know her too well” Sana scowled as she pulled away from Jeongyeon 

“Excuse me?—” she glared at the latter “You mean to tell me, this girl you loved all these years is someone I know?— and you’re not telling me,” Jeongyeon laughed at her as she patted her head

“Don’t you pat me Yoo Jeongyeon! Who is this girl!” She scowled and her voice raised

“Is it important?”

“Yeah! She might be a bad person”

“But you know her” 

“Then, I need to make sure!— tell me who!— Nayeon? Jihyo?” She glared, still around the latter’s arms. Jeongyeon laughed as she pretended to think.

“She’s uh, bubbly and bright?”

“Nayeon!”

“She’s Japanese too,” she chuckled

“Oh no! Is it Momo! it’s Momo, isn’t it!” Jeongyeon rolled her eyes with a sigh and a smile “Tell me!— or I won’t ever talk to you Jeongyeon,” she pouted and averted her view

Jeongyeon chuckled as she gently pulled Sana’s chin to face her.

“You really want to know?”

“No dip Sherlock.”

“You’ll probably get mad.”

“Why would I—“

“—Because.. She’s you.”

“W-what..” her eyes widened to Jeongyeon’s uttered words

“It’s always been you.”
