Yongsun POV

Yongsun began to notice things.

She was really strict with a lof ot aspects of her life so she thought details were a big deal, and she made sure to pay attention to them as much as she could.

Now that Moonbyul was doing her second semester at the hospital her presence there was justified, but the nurse hadn't forgotten how weird it had been to bump into each other some days ago. The younger girl had said she needed to do some blood tests or something, she didn't state the obvious, like that she was going to see her father or something, so that made Yongsun extremely curious. Was it just a regular chekout? Why did her doctor need those test for?

It could be just nothing, but the nurse never let things go. She did what she could: she kept that in her mind in case sometime she would need that information.

And it would have meant nothing if some other strange things hadn't happened. Yongsun knew people didn't fully trust her yet since she hadn't been working there that much, and the fact that she wasn't an extrovert didn't help at all, so it was weird when they ignored some topics, or feel quiet when she entered some room. She had gotten used to it, normally she would just brush it off.

But.

But there was this time that she couldn't help but think that things were odd.

She knew eavesdropping was bad and that it was something we should never do. But when she heard Moonbyul's name been mentioned at the nurse's station where two of her colleagues were talking she couldn't help but try to understand some of what they were saying.

It was true she could just ask Irene directly but it didn't seem like her friend and the med student were on good terms. When she asked her friend about it she just brush it off like it was nothing, and she wasn't close enough to Moonbyul to ask her such a personal matter yet, so she should have to wait.

She tried her best trying to understand what the two nurses were saying, but it seemed like gossiping was their second nature, because she wasn't able to decipher a word despite her... friend's? Date-buddy's? Name.

That pissed her off. She had never had patience in her life so she tried to act the most nonchalanted possible, as if she had just arrived.

“Were you talking about Moonbyulyi?” The two heads turned in her direction, clearly not happy that a stranger was listening to their conversation. She tried to give them the best excuse that came to her mind. “She cut her hand with a glass some time ago and I was the one in charge of her stitches.”

They seemed to buy it because they relaxed a little (it wasn't nice to get caught talking about your boss's daughter) and even replied her.

“Yeah, she used to spend a lot of time at the hospital.” one of them said.

“Does she get in trouble usually or what?” she asked with a timid smile. She was acting like she didn't care and, honestly, she deserved an Oscar for it.

At that question both of them looked at each other, like they were sharing some private conversation to which Yongsun wasn't invited. Finally, one of them turned at her direction and just shrugged her shoulders and smiled.

“Yeah, something like that.”

The blodnde knew she wasn't getting any more than that, so she changed the subject to something work-related. It was so hard for her to make chit-chat with people she didn't know. What was she supposed to talk about? The weather? They worked in an hospital they didn't care about the damn weather when that place had her own microclimate.

So she spent most of her week thrying not to think about this new mistery that surrounded her knew... acquaintanced Moonbyulyi and kept going on with her life (which was knowing she would see the girl around even though they han't gone out on their date yet and that would be extremely weird).

Despite all of this, the first time they saw each other in the hospital, the only thing the nurse could do was to take Monbyul by the arm through he stairs door.

There wasn't a lot of people that took the stairs since they were at the fifth floor and everybody loved elevators (something she couldn't comprehend) so they should be safe talking there.

She tried not to distract herself too much thinking how gorgeus the younger girl was with that white coat and focused on what she really wanted to ask.

She raised her hand.
